How to Say ‘Thank You’ in Various Languages
72‘Thank you’ – two words that can mean a lot to so many people.
Thank you may mean a simple gesture of appreciation. It can also convey feelings of happiness and wonder to the other person. Saying thank you may also mean that the speaker will always remember what the receiver (of the words) had done for him / her. Thank you can also give the receiver of these words the feeling like he or she is on top of the world. Whether the words are complete (thank you) or just simple thanks or ‘Tnx’ or ‘TY’ (as we sometimes use here), these two words can pack a lot of punch and bring out a lot of smiles from the young and old alike.
In honor of the words “thank you”, giving thanks and the occasion of the Thanksgiving Day (in the US), I have compiled a list of how to say thank you in various languages. Hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed compiling them and trying to say them out loud.
