In God's Timing

Everything is in God's timing. Sometimes this can be hard for some to understand or except. In Alanon Their motto is "Let go and Let God". Simple? Not so easy and Boy do we know that!

Getting in God's way is a natural reflex. That's what we are familar with. That's what we've become acustomed to. It's part of our nature. We just can't get out of God's way!

How do we know when we are getting in God's way. God cannot do his will in us because we want to do it "our way" not "God's way". Sometimes we are more responsible than we realize for halting the progress of things. We are bound and determined to be in control of everything. We forget about God and what his purpose might be. And believe me he has one.

When we get in God's way we have taken matters out of Gods hands and put them into ours. The scripture says: "And my God will supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus" Plilippians 4:19.

How do we know when we are getting in God's way? Well, for one...we keep beating our heads against the wall. And two....we seem to be making enemies, not friends. We just keep running up against a brick wall.

We cannot do it alone my friends. We've tried and failed. Sometimes you just gotta step back and pray about it......give God a chance. He know's what he's doing, your in good hands!

Sometimes our lives seem like a puzzle. pieces scattered everywhere and putting those pieces back together seems impossible. We just don't have the answers or the solutions, but guess what? Someone does! It's so much easier when you give it to God! Maybe not overnight or in a day. Rome wasn't built in a day!

The Bible clearly states: "There is a time for everyrhing, and a season for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace" Ecclesiastes 3-8. Everything has a time and a purpose.

We all are in God's time. We are all in a specific place at a specific time. Understanding comes from being able to relate to someone or something we have in common. If we weren't in a specific place we wouldn't have that specific message to share. Everything is in God's timing. We are all in place. All things work together for the Gory of God.

God "KNOWS" what he's doing, Trust him. He won't let you down! Step out in faith, relax....Take a....D...E.....E....P breath and repeat after me.......IT IS.. WELL, it is well...with my Lord.

Beautiful hub my lovely sister. If we get out of God's way, He will work His perfect will in us for His glory. We will be His instruments in the salvation of many souls for Him. We will soothe and help heal the wounds of others and we will be joyful. We will have purpose and feel the love of God. We will be an example to our family and to the whole world. Love you sis.

Hi!!

Thank you so much for stopping in and leading me here! You are absolutely right, everything is in God's timing. Being a friend of Lois's for many years, I know that phrase well and it was hard! Just as hard as wrapping my mind around the one word "acceptence"!

Thank you for the encouraging words and reminding me that when my life seems like a puzzle, God knows how to put that puzzle together.

I like everything else you had to say too. I was trying to explain to a friend of mine last nite that when he constantly helps his daughter out of trouble, he takes away her natural consequences and may delay her learning.

God Bless You!!!

Alie

Thanks Alie! I'm glad you stopped by! It's hard to not step in when you love someone. It's hard to even think about letting go sometimes. It takes baby steps for all involved. It's easier said than done. One step at a time, one day at a time. We need to start somewhere. As for exceptance, that's a big one too. As for me, i find that if i just take a break for one evening and give it to God i am having Faith. Take care sister.:)

Thank you for your encouraging words! Yes, I agree, “Everything is in God's timing. Sometimes this can be hard for some to understand or accept.”

I have been deeply convicted, in recent months, to give God ALL the glory, and to be much more public about my challenges, and His saving grace, rather than take any pride in being able to figure out my own rescue plan.

I hope you understand what I’m saying with that last part. I know all good things come from God, and I know that any favor we may experience, with any of our own efforts, is because of Him, yet, when I spend so much energy worrying, and wracking my brain for a solution to my problems, there’s a sense of ownership in the resolved dilemma, whatever that may be, right now it’s definitely my finances.

For many of us, to choose not to worry is a conscious effort, and when we don’t experience an immediate rescue from our problem at hand, it definitely tests our faith, over time.

In other words, my emotions change from minute to minute, as my circumstances remain as they are, so yes, I’m speaking from a personal level, when I say God knows how to build our faith endurance. This ‘faith endurance’ building has been a painful ordeal for me, but I know God can do anything!

I love this verse: “say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.” Isaiah 35:4

I’m so ready for Him to show His power in my life, and the lives of those around me.

I dont think we could ever get in Gods way, he knows us better than ourselves, and his patience becomes ours. For all the times we made mistakes, God turns them into strengths.

Good things come to those that wait upon the Lord

Go well

Thank you HOOWANTSTONO for your comment. God wants to do his work in everyone of us and sometimes we can get in the way of that by doing things "our way" instead of "His way", therefore prolonging his will for us and yes God does turn our weakness's into strengths. All things work together for the Glory of God.

What happens when you ARE supposed to be doing something but you just keep waiting for God to take care of it? That's something I worry about - am I missing the little hints and even the big signs; sitting here thinking I'm leaving it to God while he's up there yelling and waving his arms, "Hell-OO!" He HAS had to smack me in the head a few times...

Tminut, thanks for your response. Yes, a lot of times God does have to hit us hard. God takes care of those who help themselves. When we have done all we can do it's time to let go and let God. Sometimes waiting on God makes us weary and we begin to lose our faith but we must hold on a little while longer because there is a plan and a purpose that God has for us. The closest way to God is on our knees and the battle belongs to the lord. Bless you brother!
