Littlest Pet Shop has just released a new line of Virtual Pets called LPSO's which stands for Littlest Pet Shop Online. These are plush pets that come with a secret code you enter at the Littlest Pet Shop Online website to enter a virtual world the kids will absolutely love.

In the virtual online world the plush pets comes to life. The kids can then play games, make scrapbooks, chat with friends in a safe environment, go shopping, dress and care for their pet and so much more. The new online world is so colorful and created using Flash.

Many are asking the question just like I did: Are the Littlest Pet Shop VIP's the same thing?

The answer to that is ; NO. They are completely different games. So it is very important for parents to make sure they are buying the right toy by checking the Littlest Pet Shop Logo on the package. The Littlest Pet Shop VIP's will have VIP and the LPSO's will say Littlest pet Shop Online.(see photo below)

They both offer great games, fun and caring for their pets online. I think kids would be happy to have either one or even both. I know my daughter will have to have one of these LPSO's even though she has a few VIP's - it is just like buying a new video game and adding to the variety.

Currently Littlest Pet Shop has released a good selection of pets, but as you know these will increase as the toy becomes popular. Being this is so new you can only find a handful of the LPSO's available at the moment. I am sure once we get even closer to the 2009 Holiday season we will see all of them available.
