The Lazy 5 Ranch located 0n highway in Mooresville NC is a really great drive thru petting zoo that is one of the best attractions in North Carolina. With over 700 animals from all over the world your sure to see things you've never seen before. The Lazy 5 ranch is extremly clean and the animals are very well cared for. You will be surprised at how clean this place is and how great it smells. The usual zoo smell is not here. And theres not a speck of trash any where. You have the option of driving thru the petting zoo or taking a wagon ride you and your children will remember for a long time. The wagon ride costs $5 more per adult but its well worth it. Really the best spent $5 you will ever spend.

I really enjoyed the very friendly zebras , ring tailed lemurs , girafes , buffalo , and all the tropical birds. You can buy buckets of food for $3 a bucket and feed the animals. Be sure if you have children with you that you let them feed the animals. And you should take your camera and or camcorder with you. Your guaranteed to get some really interesting photos at the Lazy 5 ranch. They are open all year round and the Zoo can be enjoyed in almost any weather as you can drive thru in your car. Mooresville is also a great little city with plenty of wonderful places to eat and shop. And only a few miles away are Salsbury with the National Veterans Cemetery every American should visit and Charlotte N.C. with the Charlotte Panthers and The NBA Bobcats. If its near Christmas time be sure you don't miss the Christmas lights at near by  Mcandville. The Christmas lights at Mcandville are something else indeed.
