Mahjong Quest Expeditions for Nintendo DS
64Game Review
Ever since I was young I have loved playing Mahjong. When I was in grade school I remember playing Mahjong all the time on the computer. I had not played in years, so when I saw this DS version I was reminded how much I liked playing Mahjong and decided to try this version out. This version did not disappoint me at all. The way it works is exactly the same as I was used to with just that this uses a stylus and the touch screen compared to when I used the cursor on the computer. I actually found this game much better in that it had more tile arrangement variations than I was used to. It also has some fun different kind of tiles such as firecrackers that explode the block pieces of the same color as the firecracker. There are many other unique tiles to master how they work to help you beat the levels in the main expedition mode. In the expedition mode you try to beat levels and then progress on the map. I have played this game for over 12 hours and although rarely having trouble getting through the levels I still have not finished this mode. That is part of why I have enjoyed this game so much, as it has so much gameplay to keep puzzle lovers entertained. Additionally, you can just choose which tile arrangement you want and just play a single game and not be in the expedition mode.
