My Morgan Sailboat
I am creating this hub because I am selling my Morgan Sailboat on eBay, for those of you not familar with hubpages. This a free publishing platform for anyone who wants to publish their articles and earn revenue, almost anything under the sun. We have a very supportive community here!
Join Click Here its free and fun!
If the Auction does not met the reserve I will either offer the Sailboat to the highest bidders through Ebays second offer system or relist it for alother week.
I wanted to use this hub to try to answer the many questions about the boat I am receiving.
The Trailer
The Sailboat is sitting a magic tilt trailer, that the previous owner modified to store the sailboat. I trailered the boat from Miami and it did fine. I had to replace several tires and grease the bearings before I attempted to move it. It was not necessary for me to use the magic tilt option of the trailer to get her in the water. It was way easier to get the boat into the water than I would have suspected. Probably because it floats in such shallow water. 18 inches is what it drafts. It floats in really shallow water, which made it great for Indian River Lagoon.

The Swing Keel
Swing Keel
I was told that the keel weights 600 lbs, I replaced the cables and greased the pullies, But I never put the swing down, the previous owner said he used it all the time. The water I sail in is shallow and I normaly sailed when the winds were under 20 mph or under. So I never felt I needed it down. I wasnt supplied with a handle for it,it would be easy enough to let it down with a wrench. I do have a handle for the lewars. Never had to used it either.
Equipment Included
2 Jack stands included.
There are 2 anchors. 1 is 65 lbs that I used to moor it,
The other is the small one you see hanging from the bow.
There are several older type life preservers.
A wisker pole
The screens that cover the hatches.
My electric trolling motor for docking
2 main sails and 2 jibs
Extra Anchor ropes
The Magic Tilt Trailer of course
Bimini, boom cover, covers for the winches, several sail bags
I may be forgetting somethings that are included.
What needs fixing?
Almost every boat I have been on has something you could fix. This boat can go directly into the water when you pick it up. All I was going to do if I put it in this year was bottom paint it again.
I didnt find any soft spots on the deck or hull. I would replace the halyard its is looking kind of old. Other wise to me the boat is good to go.
We took it out of the water last year for the Hurricane season and its been in my backyard .

Thank you Ralph! The Hubpages community is truly amazing. The potential for anyone who wants to improve their writing skills, web skills and promotional efforts is un limited.
Craigslist is a great place to sell almost anything I agree! I wrote an ebook Craigs List Cash Flow. Its about my experience with Craigs. I also created a hub about it.

Great idea! I know where there's an Olsen 30 for sale in the Detroit area in case anybody's interested. I sold an Express 27 very quickly last fall after advertizing it on Craig's list. However, you see mostly power boats, outboard motors, etc., on Craig's List, not sail boats.
