This is a natural phenomenon that's very magical. This is related to the story of Moses Miracle. This phenomenon happened in Korea. The ginseng country. This phenomenon happened twice in a year.occurs during low tide. In that time, the land open along 2.8 kilometers, and 40 meters wide. This road connecting the island of Jindo and modo for a few hours. It's kind of miracle, when you saw the sea and directly split into two parts and we can walk along this road. Like in the Moses Miracle story.

There is a ritual or festival doing when the phenomenon happen.This phenomenon is attended by millions of people from various parts of the world. At first no one knew about this phenomenon until 1975. At that time, Mr. Pierre Randi, as French ambassador for Korea visited this places and published in French newspapers.
There is a legend behind this phenomenon. The Korean people tells of a Jindo village was attacked by a tiger and all the villagers fled and took refuge on the Modo island.But there was an old woman who left the village group. In the despair, he prayed to god to be reunited with his family. And the God granted her prayer by opening up the road at sea level and helped the old woman escaped from a wild tiger's. what

I would love to see that, there is a place called St Michael's Mount in Cornwall in the UK that has a road that is uncovered at low tide and people love to walk across it before it is completely uncovered giving the impression that they are walking on water, I wonder!!
That's fascinating stuff. I wonder if this phenomenum does account for the Biblical story. There are other places in the world where causeways appear when the tide changes, and over the millenia some have no doubt been lost as the geography of the world subtly changes. Thanks for posting!
Thank you for a most fascinating and interesting Hub. The vatican will not let you see the real Bible or letters. Again the scripts which were found in the desert have fanished in the Vatican. This puts me off. It supposed to be there to teach and spread the word. I believe in God but I keep well away from the Catholic Church. I have seen too many things which just shouldn't have happened.

I grew up going to church and therefore learned all about the stories from the Bible. Thus Moses and the parting of the Red sea. I did not know the story behind the event in Korea or of the legend surrounding the phenomenon. Very cool! Great hub!:)

Ah, yes, I know this well. I lived in Seoul, S. Korea over a 4 year period and this was one of the amazing things about S. Korea. There are many. Unfortunately, I was back and forth between there and NYC and never managed to be there during that very rare time.
This is something I must do so I will return one day!
