My Love for Digital Scrapbooking
It was back in 2006, after I returned from my trip to Madrid, Spain that I decided to try out scrapbooking. I was excited about my three week visit to Madrid, Paris and Rome and I wanted to make sure and capture it all. Something for my boyfriend (now my husband) and me to remember forever. I was familiar with normal or traditional scrapbooking, as I like to call it, but digital scrapbooking was new to me. So here I was, with stuff like a napkin from a restaurant we went to, ticket stubs from the movie we saw in Madrid - which was the DaVinci Code and something from the Louvre Museum - a pamphlet with the layout of the DaVinci tour that we took in the Museum.
Well I bought an album and I printed a certain number of pictures that I had taken. Mind you, with my digital camera - I ended up coming home with well over 1,000 pictures. So printing all of these was not going to be easy. So I only printed a few and then got to scrapbooking the rest - using digital scrapbooking.
Since then to now I have really gotten into digital scrapbooking. I have a passion for it - meaning I absolutely love it! This is the banner I created for my blog (www.leandrasebastien.blogspot.com) a few days ago. Please bear with me. I am new to www.hubpages.com and this is my first 'hub' so my formatting may not be that good.

Now I have the time to spend scrapbooking because I am currently a housewife, living in Brazil. When I first arrived I took a lot of pictures and spent time scrapbooking them and uploading them on www.facebook.com. I will write another hub and provide you with some really good websites where I download my free digital scrapbooking kits from .. known as 'freebies'. Without these kits I would not have been able to come up with my scrapbooking creations that I love. And for FREE!
I use a program I bought online for $20.00US called Microsoft Picture It! 9.0 to put together the elements from the freebie kits that I download.
Digital scrapbooking has allowed me to express myself in ways that I could not do with the traditional form of scrapbooking due to, what shall I say, a lack of talent maybe for the arts and crafts? I have the imagination to put it together but not the know how. On the computer - it's a different story.
I will just like to share a few of the layout's I've done and on my next hub I'll direct you to some really cool websites.Okay I've decided just to share the one with the banner and the food one because they are taking too long to upload :-) Hope you like them.
Guide to Digital Scrapbooking
I hope you like the idea of digital scrapbooking. I will definitely write a hub with links to the sites that I download my freebie kits from. In my opinion, digital scrapbooking is a very nice hobby. You should definitely try it!
