Northern Lights over Teepees - Awesome Photos
68These photos of Northern lights over Canada were sent to me by a friend and had to share with everyone!
I have never had the privilege of being in the midst of a Northern Light atmospheric phenomena, but I know that if I were ever to experience the earth suddenly taking on these beautiful dancing colors, and knew for a fact it wasn't a natural disaster or radiation, :) , my eyes would probably get wet, and I would gasp in experiencing such awesome natural beauty.
Taking a deep breath and admiring the natural beauty!
So, peaceful...
Perfect for a postcard!
A combo of different dancing lights...
Pretty majestic...
Wish I was there...
Comments from the sender of these photos: This is a fire rainbow- the rarest of all naturally occurring atmospheric phenomena.
The picture was captured this week on the Idaho/Washington border. The event lasted about an hour.
Clouds have to be cirrus, at least 20K feet in the air, with just the right amount of ice crystals and the has to hit the clouds at precisely 58 degrees.
Nebulas - nature's wonders hidden from many
This hub has awesome photographs and great descriptions!
One more wonder photo from another source...
Another set of Northern Lights phenomena inspired a meditation a few weeks ago, which is part of a set that I have created and will be published soon. Thought, I would share this too!
Life can be a source of wonder, I am open to more!

These look surreal!!! What a sight for sore eyes!!! Thank you!
Such a wonderful world this is, despite everything. Ahh if only we take more time to notice all things around us, from a rose bud to the most magnificient natural wonders, Thanks for sharing, the pictures are aweinspiring :D
Hi, Suzanne: I also love the teepees and the way they glow.
Shalini: How I wish I could experience this wonderful artistry of Nature. At least I get to see pink skies nowadays, which I didn't when living in the city.
Elena: Glad you enjoyed them!
Thanks ladies, for joining me in looking at the photos and commenting!
Cris: From your lips to my ears, is that the saying? I so agree with you, in the midst of the world's challenges, and even ugliness, there is much beauty too.
Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! So beautiful. It is one of my big fantasies to live in the NW Territories but it is so expensive up there and you have to be a nurse or something useful to make it, which I'm not. Still, so beautiful. Thank you for sharing these.
Hola, Pam: Sigh, guess some of us can dream. Thanks for stopping by, and I ssume you must be getting up on your side of the fence while I am going to bed now. Its past 3 a.m. here. Maybe I will dream of being surrounded by the Northern Lights.:)

Yikes! Just corrected typos, didn't see them last night, when I published the hub; teaches me to wait, rest my eyes from the computer before I publish anything. ;)
Jerilee: I will also get a pup tent, sleep in the back of a car if I have to, I just wanna see the dancing lights!
CRiter: "Dancing spirits in the sky", ooooh, I like this! I feel a poem coming up.
Dottie: Thanks for your support, its been fun creating the cards, but I was telling sis, that as easy as it looks, it does take work to find the right words and photographs.
KCC: Looks like there are many of us who would enjoy seeing these gifts from Nature. :)
G-Ma: I have never camped, wonder what its like. I can imagine looking at the stars must be awesome.
Thanks for your comments.

Thankyou for sharing such wonders. Iam sorry for going off the topic here but have ever looked at the pictures of Nebulas? They are simply amazing.
Hi, Nasishnasim: I have, but not a an entire gallery. Hey, I am going to take a look later on and enjoy the visuals. Thanks for mentioning this as I had forgotten about the Nebulas.
Thank you for stopping by!
It is one of my "things to do before I die" things.
I have put the link to this hub of yours in the hub for Nebulas that I just created. Hope you don't mind.
what an incredible sight! i saw the northern lights once, a rather subdued version, sort of like pale white curtains billowing slowly in the sky...we all froze at the unexpected treat, every hair on my body stood on end...i cannot imaginge seeing northern lights as you have pictured, i'm afraid i'd go into some kind of seizure or rapture
Jewels: I know what you mean, I am open to experiencing it in this lifetime. Must be magical!
Nasizh: No problem, thank you! I will link your hub to this one, once you publish it.
Dolores: LOL! When I was typing my reply to Jewels, I had not yet read your comment, and was about to say, "I think I would cry, if I am ever in the presence of the Northen Lights." My eyes got wet just reading your experience! I think I too would go into some kind of rapture and such.
So beautiful photos they look good to be true
Thanks abibakar for commenting.
Fabulous images, and I am curious now and have to ask, are 'Northern Lights' the same phenomenon as 'St Elmo's Fire'?
Hi, Misty: I really don't know; will do a google seach and find out, as its a good question! Good to see you, you have been quiet lately. :)
Thanks Violet, I would love to know. Yes I have been a bit quiet lately, but doing a new vegetable allotment, so much time is spent up there. Hope to be online more soon :)
Nice
Amjadhatti: Thank you!
Absolutely stunning photos, Violet! With the teepeeslit up like that...well, you get the picture!
Chris: Thanks Chris for visiting. Now, you left a lot pictures in my mind about the lit up teepees! :)
Hi VioletSun. Now I know what to add to my bucket list. I want to see this LIVE! Yes! It is truly beautiful. I love lights so much. I know I will be enthralled by the experience. Thank you for sharing this hub to us. Hugs... :-)
I love watching Norther Lights! I have only seen them a few times in my life, but they are worth standing in the cold for hours. I first got to see them when I was 12. The lights shot red, green, blue and white stripes toward the North star for over an hour.
Hi, Ripplemaker: Good to see you! Say "hi" to Daisy for me. :) If you and I ever get to see the Northern Lights, I am sure we would be taking pictures after pictures. What a memory this would be!
Christa: Oh, you you are so blessed to have experienced them! I can almost see the red, green and blue and white stripes in my mind's eyes, and its a pretty picture.
Thanks for reading and adding your comments!
Yes I will. Daisy's internet is down since yesterday..and we just got back from our Siddhartha musical play so schedule was pretty hectic. Oooh that would be lovely VioletSun. How is your website coming along? :-)
Ripplemaker: It's almost completed, but the printing of the actual meditation cards is on hold as Phil is busy designing a website for a friend, and he is the one that knows how to do the printing professionally; I am all thumbs when it comes to this side of the creative arts. LOL! So, in the meantime, I have been focusing on inner work.
I hope things went well with the Siddhartha musical play!
Oh that is great news! I'm so excited for you! :-) And yes, the Siddhartha musical play was a beautiful experience...another beautiful journey to enlightenment. :-)
Lovely photos. About 3 yrs ago, we had a strip of the green northern lights in northern Franklin County, Ohio (central part of state) and additional colors up in Saginaw, Michigan. The radio announcers were telling about them every 5 minutes. Once in a long while, they appear down in these lattitudes. i wish we'd had more.
Ripplemaker: Great to hear that things went well with the Siddhartha musical. Maybe you and Daisy will share photos one day. ;)
Patty:
How beautiful, its part of your life to see this atmospheric phenomena! The most I have seen is pink skies which I didn't see in NY, but do in Oregon. LOL!
i have never seen them in person, but always like to look the pictures of them. Angels are everywhere, this world is so amazing.
Thumbs up, and many thanks for the pics.
Absolutley beautiful!! Wish I was there with a camera!
How peaceful our atmosphere can be
Hi, Tatjana and Fortunerep

Hi, Paper Moon: Yes, must be like a beautiful painting. :)
Just unbelievably majestic! Wish I could be there in person! It makes me feel 'small' even seeing the pictures of the dramatization! Thank you for sharing! Oh, yes, and thank you for becoming my fan too! :-)
Hi, Forgyfish: It is humbling isn't it? to see the wonders of Nature. Thanks for comementing, and glad to be your fan. :)
Wow, It would be so amazing to see that in person. These pictures are stunning but I bet no photos could truly do it justice. Thank you for sharing.

My childhood, teenage years and until I was 27 were spent in northern Minnesota 100 miles below the Canadian border. So we saw the northern lights quite regularly. They are a spectacular phenomena of nature. Thanks for sharing those pictures; they brought back many memories of nights of long ago.
Kal: How blessed you are to have this experience in your life! Wow, I wish I could witness this phenomena of nature. Thanks for your comments.
While in the USAF in Alaska, I saw the Northern Lights only once, breath taking and awesome.
