The Notting Hill Soundtrack contains wonderful songs that you will enjoy listening to again and again if you loved the film. I recommend you buy it.
Choosing my favourite tune on this CD is difficult, but I have to mention the awesome track "Ain't No Sunshine", because this is a classic heartbreak melody that moves you so much. It is worth having this song in your collection if you don't already own it. Then there is "Gimme Some Lovin'" by Spencer Davis Group, and this is just hilarious!
Of cours Notting Hill was the '99 Rom Com film set in London, in the area of Notting Hill. Richard Curtis did the screenplay, and he also had written the screenplay for Four Weddings and a Funeral. The film was and still is cricitally acclaimed, and made the Notting Hill area of London an even more des-res and expensive, bearing in mind its rougher roots.
Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts are of course the stars, with Hugh playing Willian Thacker, who owns an independent bookshop in Notting Hill. The bookshop specialises in Travel Writing and I fondly remember the scene where he mentions the childish kebab stories. In the shop he meets Anna Scott who is played by Julia Roberts, who lives in a different world of fame, celebrity and fortune, and the love romance begins.
The soundtrack to the film is well rated on Amazon.com, with an average 4.5 stars and many positive comments from dozens of reviewers. I agree with that sentiment and recommend you buy it - I have it in my car CD player right now. I paid $15 for it, but Amazon are selling it for $10.97 at the moment, so it's a steal!
