NFL football is so popular that the Super Bowl has become a worldwide event that rivals most traditional holiday celebration. Although it's a rough sport, women love it. This guy, everyone knows from commercials. Because of his down-home, folksy nature, Peyton Manning is a great pitch man for the likes of Sony Vaio, DirecTV, and MasterCard. He's also a funny Saturday Night Live host. One of the few athletes who can handle the camera.

But the thing is, Peyton Manning is a stellar athlete. A Super Bowl Champion (XLI, Feb 2007), Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Chicago Bears.

Football is in his genes. His dad, Archie Manning, was a starting quarterback for the New Orleans Saints. His younger brother, Eli Manning, is the starting quarterback for the New York Giants and a Super Bowl winner (XLII, Feb 2008) as well.

No one is enjoying the heart throb / superstar status more than Tom Brady.  He dated a Hollywood movie actress (Bridgette Moynahan) and is now married to a supermodel (Gisele Bundchen).  Way to go, Tom!

Of course, he's a gifted athlete.  Since his professional debut for the New England Patriots in 2000, Tom Brady has been a top-rated quarterback.  He has reached the Super Bowl four times, winning three of them.

To earn his three Super Bowl rings, Tom Brady beat the St. Louis Rams (Super Bowl XXXVI, Feb 2002), the Carolina Panthers (Super Bowl XXXVIII, Feb 2004), and the Philadelphia Eagles (Super Bowl XXXIX, Feb 2005).

Legend! Brett Favre is still rewrting the NFL record book long after the legendary gunslingers of his early days have retired. Brett Favre played against the likes of John Elway, Troy Aikman, Warren Moon, Steve Young, and Joe Montana. Soon, most of the passing records will be his.

But he's not about the records. Brett Favre is still playing for the love of the game. He retired from the Green Bay Packers just to make a comeback with the New York Jets, a team he immediately took to the NFL playoffs in the one year he played for them.

In the 2009-10 season, Brett Favre is still playing. This time as the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. With the league's premier running back in Adrian Petersen in the back field, Brett Favre should be looking at another playoff run with a great chance to make it to the Super Bowl.

Young and talented, Joe Flacco led the Baltimore Ravens to two NFL 2008 playoff victories in his ROOKIE season. He was thrown in the lion's den, so to speak, when the Ravens' starting and backup quarterbacks suffered injuries before the 2008 season began. Joe Flacco started the first game against the Cincinnati Bengals, won, and caught the eye of sports analyst and football fans alike.

At 6'6", he is one of the tallest and biggest QBs out there. C'mon, someone that tall is big enough to be a lineman or a linebacker in this game.

Born in 1982, "Big" Ben is the youngest quarterback to ever win a Super Bowl ring. He was only 23 when he and the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL (Feb 2006).

Since then, he won one other Super Bowl, beating the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII (Feb 2009).

The roster of popular quarterback can not be complete without a Dallas Cowboy at the helm. In fact, the team is well-known for its rich history of football championships and quarterbacks leading them. In the 70's, it was Roger Staubach. In the 80's, it was Danny White.
