On Sunset :: A Poem
A golden sunset inspired poem written in October 1997. Another special from my collection.
The radiant Sun dressed in gold
Casts its spell over mother Nature
Majestically heading towards his throne
Decorated against the background azure...
Finally seated, he most gently beckons
To his entire family, and his friends
Says: 'Be seated, let's cheer
Rest, rejoice, as the day is over...
Caring all day for darling Earth
Their sweat shone like real pearls
After a very monotonous job
Pleased were they of his fatherly call...
In a beautiful gown of fresh orange
Embroidered with green threads
Wearing ornaments of pretty flowers
Queen Nature looked her best...
Melodious music was being played
Which spread the atoms of peace
Handsome Breeze, the well known artist
His dreamy dance as if never to cease...
Gradually the Horizon changed its hue
For lady Night had spread her cover
Followed by shining multitudinous stars
Indicating that the party was over...
With a shining Moon in her crown
Lady Night stole the golden Light
Lulling the beings on Earth to sleep
Revealing her splendor; her might...
Seven saints joined on this event
So very delighted was the Queen
For making her cool atmosphere
Holy and sacred with their being...!
