Produce Auctions Great Place to Go For Cheap Produce
54Storing additional items for the winter months is fun and exciting, but if you did not grow enough items to store on your own you might find that a produce auction can be a great place to find what you need. I know that going to a produce auction has many benefits that you will find with some negatives, but the positives and benefits far outweigh the negatives that you will have a produce auction. Here are some of the benefits that you can find from going to a produce auction.
The first benefit of going to a produce auction is that you can typically purchase the produce that you are wanting to purchase for storage in large quantities are a greatly discounted price over the stores. You are able to get this price because you are buying so much at one time which will help reduce the shipping and handling cost of the item that the stores have to pay. So you will only be paying the shipping charge of however much you spend in gas getting to the auction and back home.
The second benefit of going to a produce auction is that you are able to buy in bulk. I know that for some people that buying in bulk might seem like a daunting task to manage to store all of the items, but you will want to do just that. I know that if you go to a produce auction for example on a Saturday then the Sunday after you come home with your bounty you will need to plan after church to be busy in your kitchen working on storing the items. So you will want to plan ahead when you go to a produce auction to set up a day typically within a week to start your storing process of the produce.
The one negative of going to a produce auction to get your produce is that you might end up getting some produce that could go bad before you get a chance to store it properly. So you will want to take that into consideration when you are at a produce auction to make sure that you do not purchase more than what you can handle at one time. However, if you do then you can possibly resell some of the produce or give it away to family or friends.
Going to a produce auction can be fun and exciting for anyone! I know that this is a great way to purchase quite a bit of produce at one time for storage or for use. The only thing that you have to do is properly calculate how much produce you are going to want at any given time so you do not over do how much of the storage capacity you can do at any given time.
