Obama's birth certificate triumph
Who will vote against hate?
Those of you who think that the President will quell these conspiracy theories by releasing his birth certificate are wrong. This is racism, pure and simple and it is not about to go away. The very fact that the President of the United States had to prove to 35% of the country that he was born here is just a symptom. Now the real fun begins and this will be the ugliest race for the presidency in American history if we, the people, do not stop it now.
Let’s just look at the new conspiracies already cropping up and let’s take the ugliest one first. This one should anger every black man in America who has worked hard to get an education, even Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Donald Trump is now saying that Obama was too stupid to go to Occidental College and therefore he must have gotten into the Ivy League schools in some other way—Columbia and Harvard. In other words, he got where he is through Affirmative Action. Is there one educated black man of the President’s generation who has not heard that claim? Donald Trump is putting this one forth and he still has those investigators out looking up information on the President, the same ones who said his birth certificate was missing.
Oh there are others: Texas State Representative Leo Berman puts it, “Why did it take the president so long, amid a conservative firestorm, to release it? Why does it look "brand new," he said, when it's supposed to be five decades old? Why doesn't the hospital listed on the birth certificate have a "plaque on the door" commemorating Obama's birth there? And has anyone checked with the delivery room doctor listed on the birth certificate (whose name Berman says is curiously difficult to make out)?” "I'm hopeful that it's a good birth certificate," Berman said, "and that's all I can say."
Or how about what Orly Taitz had to say when she was asked about the release of the birth certificate: “Based on that initial glance she said she has some questions as to its veracity. For instance, she wondered why Obama’s father's race was listed as "African," when she says the contemporary term used would have been "Negro." It could not have been because Mr. Obama’s father was a student from the country of Kenya, which happens to be in Africa.
Her new angle: “Taitz said his Hawaiian birth was only one of a several questions she has, also alleging she has proof that he committed Social Security fraud and lied about his studies at Columbia University.” Taitz is the woman that has had several lawsuits dismissed about this birther issue. She has many more.
Or, how about Jerome Corsi, who wrote a book about this ridiculous issue. Listen to what his publisher says: “Farah is not giving up that easily. He said that producing the birth certificate won’t end the debate… Now we can have an intelligent discussion about what it means to be a natural born citizen,” Farah said, suggesting in what direction conservatives will now push the issue. “If your father is Kenyan, how are you an American citizen? If your adopted step-father was Indonesian, how are you an American citizen? At best you are a dual-citizen.” Is that as confusing to you as it is to me?
Not to mention the recent diatribes on Fox News because the
President chose to go to a Black Church on Easter Sunday. They are now calling
him a Black-nationalist
who cares more about black issues than he does America. Get the hint. Other black
leaders were called black-nationalist: Martin Luther King, Malcolm X (he was)
and so many others. They can now tie black nationalism to the New Black Panther
Party. It can also be tied to the first black president in US history.
This is not even veiled racism and my hope is that reasonable Americans will see it. The only reason for any of this is because Barack Hussein Obama is black. It is racism at its worst and I just want to see how those other 55% of the GOP who weren’t sure where the President was born will handle this issue and I still just want one Republican to say, “We don’t want him because he’s black.” Come on and show your true colors.
