In my first two blogs, I discussed basketball.  Pretty interesting stuff if you're a fan, totally forgettable if you are not.  In this hub, I wish to describe myself in general terms so you might know what type of person I am. I want to take a moment this evening and tell you a little about who I am, what I like, and how I feel about things. I couldn't determine how best to do this, and ultimately decided to simply write down random pieces of information about myself. None of this is useful information, but it isn't really meant to be. And so, in no particular order of importance:

I wear a size 9 shoe, my waist is 36 inches, and my collar is 16 inches.

As a child I was ambidextrous, and was forced to choose a hand in grade school. I selected my right hand after asking what the other kids were choosing.

I prefer a shower before bedtime to showering when I get up in the morning.

My sister took me to Liza Minelli movies when I was young.

I’ve owned a Buick, a Pontiac, a Mercury, a Ford and a Mitsubishi—not in that order.

When I fall asleep on my back, I have nightmares about vampires.

I once had an alias.

I have experimented with self-hypnosis.

I worked for one company for 23 years. In that time, I had nine different direct supervisors. More recently, I have had three supervisors in a five month period. (Is it me?)

I painted a nude self portrait as a college student and don’t know where the painting is any more.

I think I have seen ghosts.

I’ve had an ambulance called for me.

I like to dress well.

I don’t like to shave.

I have secrets I would like to reveal but am not able to.

I enjoy champagne. Even cheap champagne.

In my life, I have dated a woman 9 years older than me, and another woman 25 years younger than me.

I've never been married, but I have proposed to women.

I am afraid of snakes.

I’ve used a Ouija board.

I usually stick with juice for breakfast.

I took a badminton class in college.

My favorite book is “The Godfather”.  My favorite movie is also "The Godfather".

I went to a Catholic grade school, where I became convinced nuns could turn invisible.

My favorite flavor of ice cream is chocolate mint.

I rented a house from a witch, who let herself into the house to cast spells.

I like to vacation in Las Vegas.

I like to watch college and pro basketball, pro football, men’s boxing, and women’s tennis. I am indifferent to hockey and baseball, and have no interest in golf.

I have a Legend of Zelda game that I’ve played for over fifteen years.

I most like music by the Moody Blues and Pink Floyd.

I have attempted astral projection.

I enjoy seafood.

I enjoy fondue.

I have recently developed a liking for shoes, and now buy shoes to cheer myself up. When shoes fail to lift my spirits, I look for sport coats on sale or belts.

I used to prefer Pepsi to Coca-Cola, but I switched sides and now prefer Coke.

I own 11 different recordings of “Jesus Christ, Superstar” on CD.

I am sometimes afraid to talk on the telephone.

I used to play basketball in the parks and gyms in town, and I had the best hook shot in the city (or even the state...). Maybe I still do.

I’ve owned my watch for over 30 years.

I think I need glasses.

I like to draw and paint.

I have attempted to write books several times, and have almost finished them.

I had a crush on a teacher in high school.

I weighed less than 125 pounds when I graduated college.

I weigh more than that now.

I enjoy high school reunions.

I have maintained good relations with my parents and my sister. I was on good terms with my brother before he passed away.

I am allergic to eggs, beans, and some nuts.

In grade school I created a cartoon character called “Marvin the Hippie”.

I prefer Star Trek to Star Wars.

I wear mock turtleneck shirts with sport coats.

I like to get Christmas cards in the mail.

I collect things, including magnets, buttons, books, CDs, and DVDs.

I cried when my mother told me the story of Bambi.

I took debate in high school.

I’ve had birds poop on my head.

Every painting in my home was created by someone I know personally.

I have had blackouts where I could not account for blocks of time, but was apparently conscious.

I enjoyed the television show “Dark Shadows” as a child.

I enjoyed the television show "Charmed" as an adult.

I try not to use profanity, but don’t always succeed.

I enjoy superhero movies and television shows.

I've gotten haircuts from the same person for over 25 years.

I like to get massages.

I draw while talking on the phone.

I visit my parents at least once a week.

I think I'm a good person.
