Royal Wedding Souvenirs and Memorabilia
As has been noted elsewhere, the Royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton, is expected to bring a £500 million boost to UK retailers.
Whilst some of this will be on food and drink and tourism, perhaps one of the more visible signs of this spending are the Royal wedding souvenirs and memorabilia which are springing up in shops and online.
These range from the obvious such as Royal Wedding mugs, through to the slightly bizarre like the life sized cut outs of Prince William and Kate Middleton!
Of course, whilst their are admirers of the Royal Family, so there are those who are either indifferent of completely opposed to them and even for them there is something, possibly the Royal Wedding Sick Bags or the Royal Wedding Condoms .. perhaps for those who really don't give a ....!!!
So here is a list of some of the more unusual items that can be found to commemorate the Royal Wedding, in no particular order.
- Ashtrays
- Comics
- Garden Gnomes
- Themed Phone
- Condoms
- Tea bags
- Refridgerator
- Sick Bags
- Baby Prince William Doll
- Felt Finger Puppets
Incidentally; if you are considering purchasing a Royal Wedding souvenir as an investment, think again. Most souvenirs now are made in such a mass produced way that they retain little value, unlike for example Queen Victoria's wedding souvenirs which were hand crafted and produced in small quantities.
So; there are the options for you to remember the day. You can now watch it on TV drinking a cup of tea with Royal Wedding souvenir tea bags out of a Royal Wedding souvenir mug whilst playing with your Prince William and Kate Middleton felt finger puppets.
Pass the sick bag please!!
