Okay folks, it has been a while but we are back in business on the Sample tip. Today we got some of the MOST FAMOUS breakbeats ever. I have enjoyed making these videos and the response on Youtube has been astounding. I wish there was a way I could just make one long video and let it fly but alas, the Ten Minute Rule must be in place for a reason. And so without further delay, here are the latest unearthed treasures that I have chosen today.

You mentioned that De La Soul sampled the song, "Name and Number" by Curiosity Killed The Cat, but did you know that's just the vocals. The beat originated from a group called The Whatnauts on their hit, "Help Is On The Way" which was also sampled by Heavy & The Boyz on their hit, "Sex Wit You". That is all.

Oh yeah, I def knew that and technically, De La never really sampled it, they just interpolated the chorus with new singers.

I don't think that the group that made 'hot music' is the same that made 'hippy chick'. Hippy chick is done by the two chicks, i had the albut and hot music was not on it.
