Body Painting As An art
I know that these days body painting is more associated with the football fans painting their faces and bodies of their own favorite teams' colors.
"Body painting is a form of body art, considered by some as the most ancient form of art. Unlike tattooing and other forms of body art, body painting is temporary, painted onto the human skin, and lasts for only several hours, or at most a couple of weeks."
So, if you are searching the web for results other than football fan's painted bodies, I think you will have to rephrase your search to get what you are looking for. Phrases like "body painting", "body art", body painting as an art", body painting art", "body painting festival", etc., (including the quotes) will get you the intended results.
The U.S. Body Painting Festival is coming up! - September 20-22 - Albuquerque, NM. I think perhaps you can participate too!

Body art is a good term. I like the term "Wearable Art". I see it used often in NYC, and it can apply to everything from body paint, to elaborate ethnic costumes, to hand painted clothing, to tattoos.
That red face is so impressive!

I had the pleasure of watching a dancer perform kathakali with his face and body painted in green and yellow.I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. My parents will be shortly flying to Kerala and I am sure they won't miss their chance either.
