Why don't your give your friends a taste of the homeland this year by buying them some Scottish themed Christmas gifts? Everyone likes to have a little bit of Scotland and these gifts have something for everyone.

Christmas Tree Ornaments

Saint Margaret of Scotland was the wife of Malcolm III. She was canonized because of her dedication to her Church. She spend her days praying and founded several churches. She is said to have fortold the day of her death.

This Christmas ornament can have a very special place on the tree of a religious friend or family member.

This is another Christmas tree ornament that will look great on anyone's tree. It is a Scottish Fold kitten in a box.

The Scottish Fold cat was first discovered in 1961 on a farm in Scotland. It's distinguishing character is ears that are folded down, hence the name. However, some Scottish Fold cats have normal ears. Scottish Fold cats come in many colors.

Celtic Legends

The history and mythology fans on your Christmas gift list might like this DVD set. It features Celtic legends from Scotland and Ireland, and the Arthurian legends.

The 3 DVD set (one for each type of legends) includes reenactments of the legends, art, film of historical locations, analysis and commentary by experts in the field.

Baby's One Piece

This is a good Christmas gift to give to a friend with a new baby. It's never too early to indoctrinate a child into believe that everything Scottish is the best.

This one-piece features the phrase made famous by Mike Myers on Saturday Night Live: "If it's not Scottish, it's crap!" This will bring a smile to a parent's lips when they see this on Christmas morning.

Some very cool stuff here, UW. As a Scott meself, I get a little connection with my ancestors by wearing tartan-patterned, knee-length shorts (yes, I'm a long-shorts wearing fool - maybe that's the scottish in me). They're even wool! Sorta. Actually flannel, but close enough for this highlander.

They're really just knee-length shorts. Like everybody wears. But they're tartan patterned. You've probably seen other guys wearing them already.

Susan, nice hub but I have a question about Scottish Fold cats. Are they basically tortoise shells? It's hard to tell for sure from the picture but the colouring looks the same.

Thanks Shirley.

Scottish Fold cats can come in many colours, some are solid colours.

I found this quote:

"The Scottish Fold Cats are found in a variety of coats and patterns. The Solid cats are white, black, blue, red, cream, blue-silver, or blue-cream. The silver cats are chinchilla or shaded. The golden cats are chinchilla or shaded. The cameo cats are shell or shaded. The smoke cats are black, blue, or cameo. The tabby pattern cats are classic, mackerel, spotted, ticked, or patched. The tabby cats are silver, blue-silver, blue-silver patched, red, brown, blue, cream, or cameo. The cats can also be tortoiseshell, calico, dilute calico, or bi-color"
