How to Make A Cornmeal Scrub For Chapped Hands

Recipe for Gentle Cleanser to Make at Home
This is a gentle cleanser that should not be irritating to the skin. If you repeat this regimen day and night several times a week, your chapped hands will become a thing of the past.
The cornmeal is a gentle abrasive action what a harsh soap does by chemical action. The cornmeal however does not draw all the moisture away for the important lower layers of the skin.
Dove Soap
Ingredients
I small cucumber
1/2 tablespoon of honey
Warm Water
Mild Liquid Soap either Neutrogena or Dove or a cheaper mild soap, use can even use castille
1 tablespoon of Cornmeal
cotton gloves or white cotton socks
Blend Honey and Cucumber Together
Simple Instructions
1. peel the cucumber and remove the seeds
2. blend the cumcuber in a blender or juicer for just a few seconds
3. Add the honey and blend until mixed, usually just a few seconds
4. Place the mixture aside
Washing your Hands
Take the liquid soap, cornmeal and water to make a paste. Wash your hands thouroughly with the cornmeal paste., rinse hands well in warn (not hot) water. This helps remove flaking skin cells and any soluble environmental pollutants.
While your hands are damp, apply the cucumber and honey mixture. Have soneone help you and wrap in Saran wrap or use cotton gloves. Cover with towel and relax and as long as possible.
Rinse and pat dry.
Repeat this cornmeal wash daily and repeat as often as you can for badly chapped hands. In cold weather substitute cold water rinse in the morning to acclimate the hands to cooler conditions.
Always use a moisturizer afterwards, this can be used on feet as well. It is recommended to keep paste on overnight with severely chapped hands or feet covering with socks and gloves.
