The influence of what others think is a strong deterrent to some people. In reality who the hell cares what others think except for God, your spouse and brother-in-law. There's a good chance that if you don't follow normalcy most people won't believe you can do it. So if you follow this thinking you won't even try.

If you have any intention of becoming a successful Internet business owner you better first get a mindset check-up. Here is your check list:

• I am not normal (in the sense of working a job forever)
• I recognize there is a lot to learn
• I am worth a lot more than what I'm making
• I know this is a process and not a overnight get rich plan
• I'll have to give up some things
• I am at the point where I can see realistic possibilities

This is the mindset you need to start your Internet business. Think about this "Your future in this business will be created by what you think". Lets say it one more time "Your future will be created by what you think". You will get the naysayers who think It's fate that creates your future, I don't agree. Random events can alter your future and death can end your future, but what you think will pave your future. The people who think it's fate, well guess what, for them it will be because that's what they think.

Nobody starts a business without some idea about what the business is, where they see themselves in that business or the benefits derived from it. If you are wealthy and money is not the issue, then your motivational desires are different. For most though money is a factor and don't think this is bad.

You will have your own personal picture of what it's like to start an Internet business. Just like driving a car, drivers training and driving on the road are two different things, so is starting this business. As mentioned before there are basics you must learn, but the attraction to this business is the varied ways to make money.

The drop out rate in the Internet Business is 93%, why is this? This is due to the unreal mindset from the start. Seeing the ads for "quick profits" or "30K a month in 2 weeks" ads persuade people to think like this. When this doesn't happen and they realize the reality of it, a lot of people quit. If you get the right information and still want to try, then your mindset is on the right track for success.

Stop Listening To Negative Thinkers

Years ago working in a office environment the chatter, gossip and general negative talk would drive you crazy. At the time I didn't know any better and feel right into the trap. With the mindset I have today I probably wouldn't have many people talking to me at that place or some would join me in a more positive setting.

You Can Change

People change their minds all the time, it's a choice. You hear people say "That guy will never change" if that guy listens and believes this, then guess what? He will never change. Chances are you will have to make changes to your thinking as times change, as circumstances change and as your Internet business changes.

I remember in the dot com days any company announcing they had a website would skyrocket their stock up 300% or more in one day, that has changed, no more do we see this.
