Welcome to the Augsut 18, 2009 edition of TV on DVD Releases.  Below are this week's releases of television shows in DVD format.  They are organized by genre and then alphabetically within the genre.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold Volume 1 - This release is a one disc set following the typical formula of only releasing four episodes at a time of a show geared towards kids.

The Berenstain Bears: Halloween Treats - This release is a simple one disc release with a few Halloween themed episodes of The Berenstain Bears.

Bob the Builder: Call in the Crew - This release is an all new DVD of Bob the Builder. It features five episodes of the show. It comes with a toy vehicle.

Dungeon & Dragons: The Animated Series - This release is a 3 disc set of the 27 episodes in the Dungeons & Dragons animated series.

Dungeon & Dragons: The Beginning - This release is of just the first 9 episodes in the Dungeon & Dragons series.

Dora the Explorer: Dora's Halloween - This release is a Halloween themed episode of Dora the Explorer probably with some other non-Halloween bonus episodes. This is also being released packaged with Diego's Halloween.

Fireman Sam: Help is Here! - This release is a one disc release of Fireman Sam.

My Friend Rabbit: Carrotastic Fun - This release features six episodes of My Friend Rabbit.

One Piece: Season Two, Second Voyage - This release is two disc set of One Piece.

Yo Gabba Gabba! Halloween! - This release is a simple one disc release with four episodes of the Nick Jr. show.

The Zula Patrol: Moons Mayhem - This release features seven episodes of Zula Patrol.  The bonus features include Sing along and sneak peak at zulaworld.com.

Corner Gas: Season 5 - This release is 3 disc set of the fifth season of Corner Gas.

Corner Gas: Season 6 - This release is a a 3 disc set of the sixth season of Corner Gas.

70s Tech - This release is a History Channel documentary about the technology of the 1970s.

Californication: The Complete Second Season - This release is a two disc set of the second season of Californication. This season has 12 episodes.

Destination Matters - This release is the pilot episode of the show.

House, M.D.: Season Five - This release is a five disc set of the fifth season of House, M.D. This season has 24 episodes.

Life: Season Two - This release is a 5 disc set of the second season of Life. This season has 21 episodes.

Life with Derek: The Complete Second Season - This release is a two disc set of the second season of Life With Derek.

Lie to Me: Season One - This release is a 3 disc set of the first season of Lie to Me. This season has 13 episodes. The bonus features include the "The Lightman Group Lie Detection Tutorials" featurette. This is also being released in Blu-Ray format.

Mistral's Daughter - This release is a 3 disc set of the mini series.

NCIS: The Complete Sixth Season - This release is a 6 disc set of the sixth season of NCIS. This season is the longest to date of the series with 25 episodes.

New Tricks: Season One - This release is a 3 disc set of the first season of New Tricks.

One Tree Hill: The Complete Sixth Season - This release is a 7 disc set of the sixth season of One Tree Hill. The sixth season has 24 episodes.

Sonny With a Chance: Sonny's Big Break - This release features four episodes of the show. The bonus features include the Mackenzie Falls Season Finale Short, Sonny in the Middle bonus episode, and Demi Lovato's audition.

The Suite Life on Deck: Anchors Away! - This release is a 1 disc set of probably four episodes of The Suite Life on Deck.

thirtysomething: The Complete First Season - This release is a 6 disc set of the first season of thirtysomething. This season has 21 episodes. The bonus features include "From thirtysomething to Forever: Making thirtysomething" featurette, "Couples & Friends" featurette, "Cultural Impact" featurette, "A Conversation Between Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Swick," and audio commentaries.

T.V. Sets: Crime and Punishment - This release contains four show.  It includes Dexter, Hawaii Five-O, Dexter, and The Streets of San Francisco.

The Untouchables: Season 3 Volume 1 - This release is a partial release of the third season of The Untouchables. This collection includes 16 episodes of the show.

Wanted Dead or Alive: The Complete Series - This release is an 11 disc set. The bonus features include "The Art of the Replica," "The Mare's Leg," "Reckles," "The Women of Wanted: Dead or Alive," and "Winchester: A Weapon of Legend."

Wiseguy: The Complete First Season - This release is a 4 disc set of the first season of Wiseguy. This season has 22 episodes.

Smallville: The Complete Eighth Season - This release is a six disc set of the eighth season of Smallville. This season has 22 episodes. This is also being released in Blu-Ray format.

T.V. Sets: Beyond the Ordinary - This release features an episode of four different Sci Fi shows. The included shows are Star Trek, Medium, The 4400, and Joan of Arcadia.
