The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Part 25 Ice Ring Island

Updated on May 21, 2008

Take the short cut to Ice Ring Island by warping to Forest island. Change the wind and head to Ice Ring island and sail to where the steam comes out. Aim a Fire arrow into that, and the land will change so you can walk on it.

You will have only five minutes to get on the island get the item you are looking for. Once you get it, the island will stay in its mode and you can explore all you want.

Anyway, after you take out the island, get on and walk to the left. You’ll see a treasure chest encased in ice. Shoot a flaming arrow at it, and get a Treasure Chest from it.

Keep going around the island until you can go up, on a path. Watch yourself on this path, because it is slippery. At the end of the path, you’ll see an ice platform, so jump on it, then the next moving platform. Jump to the next non-moving platform, and into the dragons’ mouth. If you slip at any time and fall in the water, there is an ice lily pad nearby that you can use to get up higher. Go up the stones until you jump right in.

Do not go to the area where the wind is blowing, or you will be knocked off, and the only way to get back up is to let the time run out, at which you will lose health.

From there, you will have to go a little to the right to climb up some ice stairs, then slide down to climb up more. There will be some bats, but if you use your boomerang, they won’t be much trouble. Go to the next ice slide, and get to the chest with the iron boots.

Bonus: If you look where the winds is blowing, there is a hole. Jump down into the hole and there are lots of ice baddies to fight. You will have to use fire arrows to free them. Don’t worry, they will be replenished. Once you defeat all of them, you will get an Orange Ruppee!

Get off of the island and set a course for the island of the sage to the North. It can be transported to by going to Windfall Island, then changing direction and going North.

Once you get to the island, you will need to put on the iron boots to get to the entrance. There will be a big stone blocking the entrance, but your Skull Hammer can smash it.
