The Living Water

Jesus, The Living Water
John 7:38
Whoever believes in me, as[a] the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."
Revelation 7:17
For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd;
he will lead them to springs of living water.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
Before I was saved I had no idea what the meaning of the living water was.
For us to have a better understanding study The Samaritan woman, and the conversation between her and Jesus.
She seemed confused for a little while as Jesus spoke with her, but she got the idea once He explained in His own way.
Before my salvation I felt dead, I felt like nothing in this world mattered, but as I started maturing in my Christian walk I new Jesus is the living water, He is the one who flows through our veins as we go on through life, practicing our christian living, telling others what He did for us and what He is doing in our lives. My walk with the only living water there is does take a lot out of me, but I wouldn't have it no other way, to taste and see what the Lord has done is wonderful. A stream of living water runs through me..the desire to want more keeps me going and keeps me looking for more. All the trials we go through our only hope is Jesus, Jesus The Living Water. He will wipe away all our tears one day, no matter what if we respond and if we abide, His life is our life, our life is His.
John 4:9-14
The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a])
Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."
"Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?"
Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

Hi Betty.. a great message for today.. and every one of us should have the spring of living water flowing through us every moment.. sadly that is not always the case when so often we stem the flow by our own sinfulness.. but praise God His forgiveness in response to our repentance unblocks the flow again.. thank you Betty.. was very much blessed by your word here today...hugs and love, Alf
