I have often wondered what made the rich people rich. Don't we all want to know? "Don't we all want to be rich someday? This book below outlined the ingredients to be successful and explained why the rich seem to have better luck than the poor.

Trump Never Give Up: how I turned my biggest challenges into success by Donald J. Trump with Meredith Mclver

I am not a fan of Donald Trump and I didn't care about the "Apprentice" show, but the title "How I Turned My Bigger Challenges into Success" really got my attention because I've always had this misconception that the rich have it easy in life.

This is the first book of Trump I have ever read I was surprised to find myself enjoying it so much that I finished reading it in one sitting. This book is very inspirational and motivational it made me believe that I could do anything I put my mind to it, as long as I am determined, disciplined, persistent, and hardworking.

By nature I am a pessimistic person and sometimes I worry too much about things that haven't happened yet. I am not proud of having this personality trait and I have been trying to gradually change because being negative can really zap a lot of energy out of me. This book helped me to see that I can get a lot more accomplished if I am more positive. In chapter 34 Trump talked about how he used creative positive thinking to make $6 million at his first foreclosure project while he was still in college.

It is comforting to know that even a very successful person like Donald Trump encounters a lot of obstacles every day. I finally came to realize that what sets the rich and poor apart is the way the rich handle challenges, fears, and hard times. I also came to understand that the rich seem to be luckier because they are more prepared to meet opportunities. In chapter 13 Trump talked about his tremendous obstacles with his first golf course project in Palm Beach and how he overcame them.

This book gave me a new perspective in life, and new understanding about the rich. Quite often I let fear stop me from trying something new I think I am ready to gather up my courage and try to face my challenges and fears with a new positive attitude, tenacity and hard work. This book showed me the ingredients of being successful, and provided me with the encouragement, motivation, and never give-up attitude to face my obstacles with a positive outlook. For example in chapter 1 Trump talked about his lowest point in life when both the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times Ran front pages stories on the same day - detailing his total financial ruin would happen any moment. Instead he insisted on never giving up, by being stubborn and tenacious he changed his own faith and made a big comeback.

Luckily I don't think I will ever have the same scale of challenges as he does. I guess it is true that God only gives challenges to people who can handle them. I am thankful to have someone as successful as he is willing to take the time to share the ultimate secrets of being successful. I think this book is for everyone who would like to achieve more and be more successful in life.
