The Royal Wedding 2011 - Memorabilia and Souvenirs from the wedding day of Prince William and Kate Middleton

Updated on May 3, 2011

The Royal Wedding - 2011

The wedding of the century, the best royal wedding in history... the occasion was hailed all manner of things but to those who tuned in and to those who were there to experience this spectacular event, it was certainly a day to remember.

On April 29th 2011, Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, commonly known as 'Kate' Middleton (born 9 January 1982) married her prince charming and the man of her dreams, who also happened to be the Prince of Wales, Prince William - known to some as 'Wills'.

The ceremony, of course, was a grand affair; the Brits really do know how to put on the pomp and pageantry in stunning style!

The couple will now be known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Union Jacks everywhere!
Union Jacks everywhere!

It truly was a wedding on a grand scale

... millions of flag-toting hopefuls lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the Royal carriage carrying the happy couple and a procession of carriages carrying other notable members of the Royal family and guests, and they waited behind barriers outside Westminster Abbey as the service took place.

Masses also flocked outside the gates of Buckingham Palace following the ceremony to witness the much-awaited 'balcony kiss' ... and they were in luck - they got two smooches! Rather short but very much appreciated and highly photographed nonetheless.

Royal Worcester - Royal Wedding Prince William and Kate Middleton Round Tray

To celebrate the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011, Royal Worcester is pleased to introduce the Royal Wedding Bone China Collection

This is a gorgeous plate / round tray created by the famous Royal Worcester. This would make a perfect display piece for the home. It features a specially commissioned portrait photograph of Prince William and his glowing bride Kate Middleton.

The Royal Worcester company first received a Royal Warrant to produce goods for the British royal family in 1788. The company remains in service to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

It is crafted in fine bone china and finished in (genuine) 22 carat gold - this collectible Royal Wedding plate will make a fine addition to any royal-loving home!

Matching Royal Worcester Royal Wedding mugs / tankards

Royal Worcester has also created these beautiful matching gold and fine bone china mugs and tankards to go along with the china plates.

Like the round tray, they also feature bone china and 22 carat gold finishing and trimmings. They also come in collectible gift boxes and they also depict a specially commissioned portrait shot of Prince William and Catherine Middleton on the front of the mug.

Royal Wedding Books

If you're an avid reader, then these collectible books would make an excellent addition to your library.  They make great 'coffee-table-books' as many are full of wonderful photographs of the Royal Wedding and everything you could every wish to know about the big day.  They are also a lovely item to pass down through the generations.

THE ring

And last but not least... what lady (or girl!) wouldn't want to own THE engagement ring of the century! This is a gorgeous replica of the stunning sapphire and diamond engagement ring that Kate Middleton (now the Duchess of Cambridge) wears. The ring was originally chosen by Lady Diana Spencer for her engagement to Prince Charles.

Now you can wear your own replica of this amazing gemstone and diamond ring... with a much more non-royalty price tag of course! However, the sparkle and the elegance of the design is certainly not lost in this very beautifully crafted ring that would make the perfect gift for any woman or even for a Mother's Day gift, a Sweet 16 gift, a Christmas or Birthday gift or a pretty girly gift for a graduation.

Whatever the occasion and even if it's not for an engagement, this Royal Engagement ring will adorn the finger of any lady beautifully.
