The Sims 3 On Xbox 360
The sims 3 is a life simulation game at its heart and has been planned since early 2008,like its predecessors it is extremely addictive and popular, the PC versions sold over 1.3 million copies in its first week and there have been a string of down loadable content for it ever since, but for the first time the sims 3 is being remade and released on a games console, how well this will do will have to be seen but if early reports are anything to go by it is going to be a storming success. The basic premise of this game is that you start out life as a baby,(although you don't have to) then you discover new things as you grow up and then eventually become an adult, now as an adult this is where it can become quite addictive as you meet new people, perhaps fall in love and marry, you can also pick employment and build and design your own dream home, and then pray that you can afford to furnish it and not have it destroyed by a tornado,if you can dream it then it can pretty much become a reality in the sims 3.
Differences
Are there differences between the hugely successful pc version and the all new console version, well yes there is but no differences that are going to change the sims experience for you.Firstly you have achievements, which will make you play for longer and perhaps open up parts of the game that you had no interest in before just to get the achievements, once you have opened achievements this will give you Karma points which can have a good or bad effect depending on how you want to play. You decide how to spend your karma points be it rain down fire and brimstone on your sims house or simply make your sims devilishly rich, its your choice.
The next difference is that you will be able to interact with other sims players around the world and buy or sell different items of clothing or furniture and swap with other players in a kind of sims community, which has huge potential to keep this game running as long as possible. When you do interact with other players you now don't have to leave he game as you did in previous versions. There are slightly longer loading times because of these differences and because of the fact its running on a console but it is looking very good at the moment.
In short the Sims 3 on consoles is shaping up to be a fantastic game with a huge following and I for one cannot wait,it will I'm sure slightly take over my life but then i have never played the pc one for more than an hour round a friends so the opportunity to play this for hours in my own home is a treat i cant wait for,the scheduled release date for sims 3 is Oct 26th for US gamers and Oct 29th for UK gamers.I will be writing a full review when the game is released and i have played it for a while.Until then you will just have to watch the videos i have provided and enjoy.
