The Words

As I walk down the street and I hear all the people talk

It seems the language gets worse the furthur I walk

Today women are treated like we are walking on all fours

What happened to thank you mam and opening the doors

That I can deal with but what makes me so mad

Is the things we are called and it makes me feel sad

Did you not learn any manners to love or respect

These words that you use make me sick to the core

Do not call women those names not any more

What would your mother say if she knew

All the disgusting things that you say and you do

Would she be happy would she be proud

That you talk to women the way that you do

Or would she be hurt because a woman is the one who raised you

You see a girl coming down the street and you yell out vulgarities

To someone you did not yet meet

You do not know this woman or what she is like

Yet you put her in that category and then you shout out

All the words that cause her pain

Is it because you are someone yourself going insane

what ever happened to you that made you this way

Did someone call you names each and every day

Is that why you use these words to cause others heartache

Because your a scared little child inside who just wants to be loved

Or are you just heartless with no soul and no love

Some day you will be a father and a daughter you will have

And she will have to hear the words that you spoke to others

And that will make her sad

Do not hide behind cruel words to be the cool one in the crowd

Any one can yell out filth why don't you take the higher path

Be the one who shows kindness and then you can stand proud

Not because your words hurt someone today

But because you did not let ignorance stand in your way
