Today I woke Up Crying
No it wasn't a bad dream , I didn't hear any bad news,
Still I feel sad, I feel heavy,melancholy somehow ,and I miss someone.
Someone I haven't thought about for a little while now
Not that they have ever been far from my thoughts , memories are gentle and soft.
Today I woke up crying and the sadness wouldn't go away.
So as I made some fresh coffee and
decided to let my heart I feel this way

Mr Red Robbin Saw Me Crying
Its a Friday morning ,
Fridays are good , almost like they give you permission to unwind, or slow down ,like its prize giving day for showing up all the other days in the week.
From busy exec to busy mum ,don't matter , if you were present, you get the Friday award too. Fridays are good, this Friday is good in a sad kinda way
Today I woke up crying,
I think I know why this certain
Friday is good
What happened to my heart ,as I slept before today
And as I stood on the porch, admiring the sun spreading her warm rays on everything in her path , a curious Red Robbin cocked his head to say:
Hi, whats up with you today?
Silently I answered " Today would have been her birthday" and I miss her love so, and heard her voice saying " I didnt want to leave you this way"
Today I woke up crying
For so long her memory has kept me strong and although ive lost my way at times, she had come to remind me on her day
Keep hoping , keep living , keep smiling
Was just me calling your heart this Friday to remind you
All this time
I never did move that far away
Love from your Mum.

Thankyou dohn , I cant write poetry ,but I just had this urge to write it down.
I have days like this when I miss my grandmother. To honor their love with a few moments of tears and memories, I'd like to think someone will honor our memory in this way, too. Thank you Eaglekiwi!

You know I don't write poetry either, but I decided a couple of months back that I would do so when I can finally write about my mom, who passed away in December, 2007. Right now it still hurts too much, but like you, I hope to do so one day when she enters my thoughts like all moms do.

Hi Dori , An old lady told me once ,that tears were a language between our hearts and Gods, and sometimes its to wash away the crap that He dont want us to carry anymore too.
I used to wonder seriously how much one person could cry!!

I don't cry much these days - it's like the cloth has been rung dry. But I do still miss my Mom. Really heartfelt Hub. Thanks.

Hi dennisematt ,Yea Im feeling great ,was just one of those days ( morning actually).My mum died when I was 13 yrs old ,which was years ago and it was her birthday so I got the 'blahs' and the 'happys' all on the same day ,lol.

Im back!! I discoverd a thingy that lets me see all the comments I made so I can come back and see what new is goign on. Its almost as exciting as smileys!! I too, have lost some dear ones, and remember some days in much the same way. Day to day is better now, but its kinda like arthritis, the wound didn't heal all the way and every once in a while, like when it rains, it aches some. I still really like this poem. And its not all the way a "sad" poem to me. Its hopefull some too.

Love for your mama is eternal and so very deep. I lost mine 20 years ago and talk to her daily.
But I have dreams like that as well, they still throw me.

lorlie6- Yes doesnt matter how long ,guess its when milestones happen ,sometimes its like wish we could be face to face sharing these moments, but yes like you expressed so well eternal and deep.
Touching. I tell myself to always give time to my mum although she doesn't live in Australia. I try to call her as often as possible just to chat. Nice poems Eaglekiwi.

Well girl, I am so glad that I was pointed in this direction. How ever did I miss this one? I too have a sad day remembering my loved ones who have passed. Ach well, that is part of living I reckon. Don't want no one to feel sad when I am gone, be happy. And yes, the ralwus seems to gather much any more. LOL Hurting people need some love and tenderness once in awhile.
