Tomb Raider Anniversary Edition for the Wii 6: City of Vilcabamba, Part 1
The first thing you will meet is an unfriendly bear. The game will inform you how to do an adrenaline dodge move. I went to the left, and shot the bear in the head. That seemed to kill him right off the bat. It is very important that you learn how to do this adrenaline move early in the game, as it is crucial to defeating some of the main bosses later on.
Keep running down some halls, but there isn’t anything interesting until you reach the area with the pole. I highly recommend jumping to this pole, then sliding down all the way. While you’re on the ground, go behind you. Behind a rock jutting up from the floor is a small medipack.
Now, getting out is pretty simple. Stand in the center of this pit, on a rock, and jump on a ledge to your right. Shimmy to your left, then lateral jump to the next ledge. Scramble up to the next ledge and position yourself for a good backward jump to the nearby pole. Here you will launch off of a pole for the first time. It is important to remember that it does not matter which way you are facing, provided the joystick is pointed in the proper direction. (Explain if needed.)
From here, keep going until the game prompts you that you are in the City of Vilcabamba. Go down two flights of stairs. There will be two wolves to your left. If you target them, you can probably kill them both before they even see you.
Go to where the wolves were and take the right. You will see a giant brick that looks very conspicuous. Go up to it and interact with it. After sweeping the dust off of it, you will find that you can make a Rubbing of it. This is the bonus rubbing on this level, The Soul of the Puma.
Go down into the village. The first thing you will notice is another angry bear. Take him out, but if he’s hurting you badly, run back to the stairs and stand at the top. Apparently, this bear fears stairs, and he won’t follow you. You can blast him dead.
If you go all the way to the right in this village, you will notice a door that can’t be opened. You will need a key to get that.
The first thing you need to do is jump into the pool. You might want to dive down to the bottom and retrieve a small medipack. The swimming controls are difficult at first, but you must swim to a lever that you must interact, then pull the Wiimote like a lever. Lara can go through the top and enter into a home.
