Tony's Frozen Pizzas

Tony's Pizza
Raise your hand if you love pizza. Now raise both hands if you love cheap, fast, and good tasting pizzas that you cook in your own oven. That's right, Tony's Pizza Products makes a great frozen pizza that you can buy at the grocery store, pop in your oven for a few minutes, and then enjoy!
Tony's Pizza was founded by Dick Barlow. He named it after his brother-in-law, Greg "Tony" Paglia, in the 60's. The company was doing well, but in 1970, when Marvin Schwan bought the company, it really took off. Tony's did so well because Shwan's small group of drivers would deliver pizzas straight to the customers house. Therefore, Tony's Pizza became the first pizza company to do delivery! Just think how far that has gone today - Super Bowl Sunday would not be the same! In 1976, Tony's Pizzas were being delivered to grocery stores for people to buy there. Also, to add to their collection of pizza firsts, they have more recently started to provide pizzas to schools and offer smaller microwaveable pizzas that you store in the freezer before eating. Now, over 35 years later, Tony's is a well respected name in pizza all over the country.
The Tony's frozen pizzas that I buy at the grocery store for about $2.75 or sometimes two for $5 are the best ones out there. They really do use quality ingredients in their frozen Original Crust Pizzas. Once you open the bright orange box with the jolly man (presumably "Tony" himself) in the tomato chefs hat in the corner, you will find your frozen pizza inside. It comes in a plastic cover that you cut open and pop in the oven once it is preheated. Then after the pizza is cooked to your liking, cut it into slices and dig in!
I do not cook my pizzas as they suggest on the box. The reccomended time and temperature has changed since I stared eating them I believe. I have not yet tried the new time and temp, but I'm sure it is perfect for an awesome pizza. The reccomended time is 14 - 16 minutes at 400 degrees farenhiet, but I cook mine for around 10 minutes at 425 degrees farenhiet. Feel free to experiment here.
I have tried, and liked, the pepperoni, pepperoni and sausage, supreme, and of course cheese flavored Tony's Original Crust Pizzas. They have a good source of protein, calcium, and iron making them great summer lunches for kids! They are also good for lunches for children during the school year to eat on weekends.
I hope you try one of these, they are excellent pizzas!
Thanks,
Parker

Thanks for sharing this information. I wondered if these pizzas were good.
Thanks John, but there are probably better ones out there. Haha!
You're welcome, annvans, they are really good.
Guess I'll have to try a Tony's pizza now :)

Enjoy!
Tony pizzas are the only 99 cent ones that don't come with a microwave browner, when I want junk food I want it now! not in 15 minutes.
