True Christianity
TRUE CHRISTIANITY
" I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God , who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20
The passage above tells all about what true Christianity is, Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is living the life of Christ in your very own life. " I am crucified with Christ" which is crucified ? It is that old carnal nature, the fallen nature. "Not I, but Christ,"true Christianity is an exchanged life. It is not taking the nature you were born with bringing it into the exposure of the gospel and there begin to dress up this old nature by the laws of the Bible- the ten commandments and the new testament. Christianity is not dressing up the habits of your life. It is not our old life dressed up , parting his hair in the middle and putting a necktie on him and calling him a Christian. You can't make that old nature into a Christian. This has been the basic philiosophy of many Christians through the years. The nature you are born with is unconvertible. Your fallen nature is chained into darkness as much as Satan is chained into Darkness. Can a leopard change its spots.
Thus a man can look like a Christian , act like a Christian , and talk like a Christian. He can put on the forms like a Christian. He can say "Hallelujah" with other Christians. He can do all kinds of things, but he is still not a Christian unless he has a new nature.True Christianity is the impartation of a new nature through the incorruptible seed of I Peter 1:2b ; "having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever." Once you had one nature, now you have two natures. Inside of you is the fallen nature you were born with and the new nature that came into your spirit through the miracle of the new birth.
Since we became partaker of the new nature ( the Divine nature) Christ begins to live His life in us. Our body became His life. When we are reaching out a lost person, it is actually Christ who is reaching him. Christ is just using our body in order to minister to an unsaved person. Every believer is Christ body. The church is not the congregation or a denomination. The church is Christ's body and that is what you are. Christ does not live in a cathedral of stone or in a temple of brick and mortar. He lives in your body. You are His temple. He ministers, exhibits Himself, demonstrates His compassion, extends His mercy through your body - through you.
You have been saved to be His witness, His body, His church, His voice, His heartbeat. Your body has become His temple. He ministers through you. You are lost in Him. His life is the energy of your witness. You go on His behalf so that He can go through you and reach the unconverted. That is Christianity in depth !.
