Twenty four billion dollars Yum introduces Taco Bell in India

Updated on March 13, 2013

How Taco Bell came into existence and where it is opened up in India?

Do you know, Taco Bell Corporation is a subsidiary of US-based 24 billion dollars Yum! Restaurants International, who are also the owners of Pizza Hut and KFC.

It is a Mexican style quick-service chain of restaurants, which is based in Irvine, California, United States.

The restaurant has more outlets in Canada and United States, but also operates outlets in other countries and is also planning to open one in India.

Mr. Glen William Bell, the founder of Taco Bell, opened up 3 Taco-Tia stands, between 1954 & 1955, which after some years, he sold to his partners.

Seven years after that, he opened up the first Taco Bell in Downey, California on March 21st, 1962.

First Taco Bell franchise was sold in 1964, and the company then became public in 1969.

Then in 1978, the whole chain of Taco Bell Corporation was sold to thePepsiCo.

The chain then spun off along, with Pepsi's fast-food restaurant holdings, as Tricon Global Restaurants in October of 1997.

Then Tricon Global Restaurants became Yum! Brands, Inc. in May 2002.

So Taco Bell has come to India.

Their first fast food franchise in India is at:

Tacobell Restaurant

New #1, Carlton Court

Bandra West

Mumbai-400050

Landmark: Opposite Hong Kong Shanghai Bank

Phone: 022-26432519

If you are going to visit Mumbai in the upcoming months, you do not have to hold up your taste buds long enough from tasting yummy fast food from Taco Bell.

I think it will also open up in Delhi in the coming years.
