Valentine's Day, isn't love complicated enough?
Just a few days and we’re up to the point of Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day was once meant to declare your love to someone in anonymity.
It seems that in the old days there where two saints who were called Valentine and which both have been assassinated on 14 February. And that is the best reason to have a party for loved ones of course! Also valentine was a doctor who gave everyone that came to him a beautiful flower. There the good business for the flower arranging business starts. Later on people will declare their love anonymously with flowers to each other.
Well considered, you can also shove those flowers somewhere where they hardly will be noticed but bring a better smell to the environment or you can throw them just as well in the ditch because you remain anonymous nevertheless and the impact it will have will be little.
We have to thank this commercial thing called Valentine’s Day to the Americans. Just like McDonalds and Burger king. Completely cool, groovy, awesome! Though it can’t be denied that there are people that become entirely weak when they find that postcard in their mailbox. Secretly the idea of a secret admirer is kind of nice but on the other side there is the desire that that person has the balls to simply ring your doorbell, stands before you completely naked with a ribbon on his machine and says: “He woman I find you quite nice”
Yet the chance of that happening is really, really small.
