Valentines Day Present-My Wife

Well as the main title indicates the best valentines day present I could get every year is another year with the girl of my dreams.

I really am not sure where to start with this hub but I think it may be fitting to write my wife somewhat of a love letter that not only she sees but for the entire world to see so they do know how much I love her.

It really is okay to be sappy when it comes to the love of your life. I am not ashamed to tell the world the way it is and how much my bride means to me.

I think people who have trouble expressing their feelings are the ones that are going to be in trouble down the line.

Anyways that's enough lecturing for today. I think I have decided as a Valentines day present I will write this hub sort of in story style to let the entire world know how we met and how we have made it this far in our journey of love.

I guess I should start at the beginning.

My darling Jackie, around 24 years ago I walked into a crowded restaurant and instantly knew you were meant to be my soul mate.

You were the waitress who served us until I sent you running by looking at you and telling you that one day I would have you as mine.

Were you ever shocked the next day when I walked in the restaurant and you found out that I was actually an employee there.  I found out rather quickly that you were not fond of me at all.  In fact I recall your words as being I hate you.

That didn't matter to me though.  I was on a mission and I wouldn't stop until I got what I wanted.  I know when you hear these words I sort of sound like a stalker but really all it really was, was a young man so in love it hurt.

I understand you not wanting to have anything to do with me after I came on so strong so it was time to change my tactics and turn on the young romance charm.

Well my darling, eventually we did start to talk.  I knew you still didn't want anything to do with me other than a friend but then someone else came into my life.

I met your 6 month old son Steven.  Of course I thought at that point that there was someone else but I quickly found out that you were a single mother and that was okay by me.

As the days went on I truly fell in love with your little baby boy even more that you at the time.  Anytime you had him at the restaurant I would take him from you and we would set off to do our thing.

So yes that many years ago there ended up being someone else and that was Steven.

I quickly realized that this was a package deal.  If I was going to continue to try and make you part of my life I would have to make sure Steven was included in that. 

Well I am here to tell you my dearest Jackie that was never an issue.  I fell in love with Steven just as much as I loved you so I was ready to take on the role as a father as well.

Steven is now 23 years old sweetie and I think for the most part we did a wonderful job with him and our other kids as well.

Well the day finally came, April 16, 1986 we started our lives as boyfriend and girlfriend.  It turns out that was the best day of my life along with many other bests to come our way.

I remember shortly after this I invited yourself and your parents to be my guests at the dining room I was working at.  It was the day I believe I solidified my existence with your parents. 

I served you guys Wine, Caesar Salad made at the table, Escargot and Lobster for the main course.  You were so radiant in the dim lights of the dining room.

Some people may think this was early and some may think I was crazy but in July of the same year i asked your father for your hand in marriage.  What was crazy about this is we both know your dad is an avid hunter and i asked him while he was cleaning his guns down in his gun room.  It could have been an abrupt ending for me but I knew there wouldn't be a problem.  your dad gave me his blessings so we officially got engaged later that week.

In Sept of the same year we decided to move in together.  many wont believe this but Sept was also the first time we made love.  Yes we went all those months but respected our parents homes and waited until we had our first home.

The next year went by in a blur as we were to be married in August of 88.

On August 6th, 1988 Jackie became my wife and made me the happiest person alive.

I know the months leading up to that great day were very stressful for everyone involved. There was so much planning to do and everything had to be just right.

I know until this day you still regret some things about our wedding and I understand because there were so many fingers in the pie that so many decisions were not left up to us.

However in my eyes I wouldn't do a thing different because I married the most beautiful girl on the face of this earth.

I will never forget seeing you walk down the aisle. You were a vision of beauty that only can be duplicated by you and no one else.

The rest of the day went off without a hitch. We had lots of entertainment, guests, speeches, dances and so forth.

There is one thing that really does stand out in my mind from that evening. There were many dances. Our first dance, parents first dance, bridal party first dance but there is one dance I will never forget. That was the first dance we had with our son Steven.

This Valentines day is dedicated to my wife but you really need to understand the importance that I add Steven in there as with Jackie came Steven.  That day I didnt only marry my wife but I became a father to her son which became our son that night.

Many of you will remember the song Dance Little Jean.

Well this song was the first dance with our son and his parents. Go ahead and watch the video below. All you need to do is change the word Jean to Steve and you will hear the same song we did that night.

In 1989 our second son Cameron was born and in 1991 our final son Joshua was born.  I know this is a hub about my sweet wife who is my valentine.

The thing is i also have to express what a great mother she has been through the years.  I know that at every moment our children were being brought up to the best ways possible.  I knew they were always safe in her arms and there was no way anyone could ever hurt them.

Through the years we had our good times and bad times.  Sometimes it would have even been easy to just walk away but our love was way too strong.

We went through the same thing most families go through.  kids growing up, happy times, sad times, tough times and every kind of time you can think about.

The one constant I always had in my life was the fact that i had my wife Jackie by my side no matter how tough things got.

My dear Jackie, what would life be without you?

We took vows that no matter what we would be together and we have stuck to those vows.

I love the fact that we never go to bed mad.  The last thing I hear from you are the words "I Love You"

Everyday I thank God for allowing me to find such a beautiful lady to grow with me and to be with me until the day I die.

I never would have thought it possible to still love some one more and more everyday but we are living proof that it happens.

I love that you have always been there to pick me up and most recently with the passing of my dad.

I love that I am proud to walk down the street with you and let everyone know that we are a couple.

I love to make love to you even after all these years and look forward to it for many more years.

I could keep listing things for weeks that I love about you.

To anyone who is in love out there.  It is so important to keep the love alive.

You need to treat your love like a princess, let her know how much you care.

Never stop holding her hand or telling her you love her.  The love of your life is supposed to be with you forever so treat her like that.

You need to always be there and never let her down.  never give her a reason to be angry or a reason to not trust you.

You need to be open in everything you do.

As a husband you can never take her for granted.  She actually loves when you try and help even if you do screw up the whites and colors in the laundry.

As a husband you need to be her support and her protector.  it is up to you to make sure nothing or no one is ever allowed to hurt her.  She is counting on you to do that.

As her husband you need to learn to listen even if you don't have the answers.

As her husband you need to give her space and time away.

As her husband you need to give her all the love you can muster.

My dearest Jackie.

I write this for the entire world to see.  I write this because I love you more and more each and everyday.

You are my entire world, you are my soulmate, my lover, my best friend and my wife.

On this day i just want to again tell you that I love you.  I want to tell you that you are my everything and I will never forget that.

I would like to thank you for roughly 9000 days that to me are all Valentines day to me.

Once again my sweet Babedoll I would like to say thank you and I Love You.

To anyone out there reading this, these are true feelings of my wife.

I could have wrote a book with all the other things I could say about my beautiful wife.
