Wanna know your future?
53
In this daily grind of life. We look forward to something new, something exciting and something that will give us a break from the daily grind and make us happy and content. With that thought, we seek a fortune teller. We want to know our future with the thought that since we are struggling so much with our day to day life, the daily and boring routine that this fortune teller will tell us our future and we are PRETTY sure, that our future is much much better than what we are living right now. Are we sure about this?
We head to the fortune teller with so much confidence and pay her by the minute or whatever her charges are like. In our daily life, if we want something, we would wait up for the sale sign to come up but, going to a fortune teller, we don't really care. We have this inner urge to know our future and also the confidence that our future is definitely better than what it is right now.
First of all, how accurate is this fortune teller gonna be? We do our research about a particular one and when we feel that she has a reputation for being genuine. We pay her a visit.
We sit in her office with anticipation and anxiety. She finally arrives. The person who is like our God, who will tell us what our future is gonna be, is sitting right in front of us. We would tend to miss a heart beat and get conscious. We would blabber a little and then finally come to the point of our interest since each second is costing money. She uses her expertise and comes out with the result. Now, we would have never been so anxious, as IN that moment.
She comes around with her explanation of the ruling of planets and some numbers which are missing. We want her to come to the point and use plain good English. She finally does, and our future is not as bright as it was anticipated by us. So, by the end of our conversation, are we happy? Are we satisfied? Definitely not, we do not believe in her. We start heading out with the aim of looking into another fortune teller who could actually read our mind and tell us that this is what we desire and this can be our future. Wow, now aren't we being dramatic. As if, what we DESIRE is what we SHOULD get!
We want what we desire. But ultimately we will get what is written in our karma. The Almighty has written each one's destiny before we came on this earth. Again, I may be repeating it (since most of my hubs, have this line) good deeds can change our destiny. If we are good to others, we can change our destiny. That could be the key to happiness.
So, what is the use of knowing what lies ahead of us. Let the clock tick, let our cells divide and grow, let us get old. We will await for whatever life has to offer us. We will stand strong and withstand the storm if and whenever it comes. In the mean time, live life and let others live too!
