What does a ruptured spleen feel like?

What's a ruptured spleen feel like you ask?

The spleen is a very important part of the body that prevents infections and filters bad bacteria.  Although important, this organ that is located in the upper left part of the body is sometimes removed if the need arises.  If you've got a bad spleen it is possible to receive certain immunizations that protect the body from infections that would normally be filtered by the spleen.

A ruptured spleen is actually a very dangerous situation and comes with excruciating pain.  In the past, to fix the situation most doctors would do surgery to fix the spleen.

Nowadays it's common practice to leave the spleen under observation, hoping that the excessive bleeding will stop and the spleen will heal itself.

If you suspect you've ruptured your spleen, get to the doctor quick!  A ruptured spleen is not a situation to let go, as it can lead to death.
