Why Search For Missing Money When You Can Make Real Money!
67Today the most popular Google keyword search is how to find out if you have missing money online. I went to the site missingmoney.com, and I quickly discovered that I did not have any missing money. Since I keep track of my finances I knew that I probably would not, but sites such as missingmoney.com are so popular because everyone needs and wants money. So what do you do if you find out you do not have any missing money online? Would you still like to find out about real ways of making money online? Even if you do not desire to become a millionaire, you still need money to buy groceries, pay the rent/mortgage, buy gasoline, or pay for you bus pass. Why search online for money making ideas that will not pan out when you can do a few simple things to make a little bit of guaranteed money here and there. There is no absolute certainty you will become rich in your pursuit to make money online, but it can help to pay for a few daily costs.
1. Sign up with zazzle.com.
Do you like to make fun and popular designs people would love to put on a t-shirt or handbag? I have tried zazzle.com and I will admit I never made a sale with it, but a few people I have talked to have sold a few items here and there. Placing your designs t-shirts and other merchandise for sale at zazzle.com might be a way to make a little extra cash, but it also might be a way to get the larger public interested in your works of art. Zazzle has a wide range of products that allow users to put designs on many items such as magnets, ties, buttons, mugs, and several types of shirts. Also, you can promote your zazzle products on Myspace or Facebook, so if anything else maybe a few of your friends and family members will buy some of your creative works.
2. Design shirts and mugs at cafepress.com.
I have never used this site, but it is similar to zazzle.com in its approach. If you are capable of making eye catching designs then it might be something you would be interested in checking out. People can even publish books on cafepress, but I would research this as I have never presued that option myself.
3. Sell unwanted items on Ebay.
I have only tried this a few times, but it works well for those who do their research and who are persistent. Sell unwanted items such as old books on Ebay to make a little extra cash. One great thing about this is you could even use these savings to buy something from another Ebay seller. Ebay has a very large selection of things to choose from and it is a great way to give unused items new life. Think of Ebay as a large garage sale that is open twenty-four hours a day.
4. Sell items on Craigslist.
Craigslist has worked better for me because I was able to write an advertisement for local people. Many times I was able to arrange to meet people that live very close to me and I did not have to travel very far to sell my item. Also, unlike Ebay, Craigslist is ideal because there are no fees involved with selling your second hand items.
5. Sell unwanted items on amazon.com.
This option worked for me the first time and all four times I tried it, unlike the two times I tried to sell items on EBay. The reason selling items on amazon.com is easier is because people are searching for specific items and will see yours for sale. For example, if a new book is listed for sale on amazon.com for fourteen dollars, it will also list new and used copies of this book for different prices. What I used to do in order to ensure a sale was to list my item a few cents lower than the lowest price, even if my item was new. My rationalization for this was if I were to sell this book or CD at a garage sale I would not make very much, so by selling my item at a reduced price on amazon I actually make a little bit more than if I had placed it in a garage sale. Unlike Ebay, you never have to pay to list your items with amazon.com unless someone decides to buy one. Selling used items on amazon is an easy way to make a little bit of extra money, which can even be redeemed to use as gift certificates on the website. I am very happy with this service and recommend others try it out.
6. Sign up to become a writer here at Hubpages.
Hubpages is an ideal way to make a little bit of extra money with Google Adsense, Kontera ads, the Ebay affiliate program, and the Amazon affiliate program. Go to the help section of Hubpages and find out how to write an informative hub. Next, publish you hub and add a few amazon or EBay affiliate ads. The amount of money that can be made writing here at Hubpages ranges, but the ideal thing about it is that you get to keep sixty percent of all revenue made from your ads. Amazon and Ebay have their own programs that give you a small commission for each sale you bring to their websites. Also, the Page Rank of Hubpages is very good and is much more likely to come up in Google searches than if you build a website from scratch.
7. Use Kontera, Adsense, Ebay, and Amazon on your own website.
Write content for you own website and place Google Adsense, Kontera, Ebay, and Amazon ads on there to make a little bit of extra revenue. You can generate traffic to your own website by describing what they are about on your profile page here at Hubpages. The next thing to do is to post a linke to youer website on mixx.com, digg.com, Craigslist, yahoo bookmarks, online forums, chat rooms, or write an article to promote your website at articlesland.com. You can even promote your website on Myspace and Facebook, which will help to bring new traffic to a website. Personal websites may not make as much money as hubs do, but with work and persistence you can improve this over time.
My ultimate goal is to write about arts and crafts, history, take my own pictures, and to be as original as possible and not rely on other people's pictures. Lately the hubs I have been making use all of my own pictures, which really helps my website stand out. Many people feel it is okay to borrow other peoples' photos and give them credit, which is fine, but I truly believe in using all of my own photos. If you are going to use photos someone else took, try and go to garage sales or ask friends for any unwanted photos they may not want. Once a friend gave me a large bag of photos from a trip and these pictures are absolutely gorgeous. Also, I have talked to friends who bought vintage photos at garage sales, so I recommend looking for photos offline if you are unable to take all of your own photos to upload. Eye catching photos will come up in Google image searches, which helps to bring traffic to your website.
8. Use blogger.com to write a blog and make money.
Many people have become addicted to writing on their daily blogs, so you might as well make money for doing this. The first thing you will have to do is sign up for a Google AdSense account if you have not already done so. Forget writing on LiveJournal.com because you cannot make money via Google AdSense for doing this. Instead, switch over to writing your blog on blogger.com, which will allow you to place both Google AdSense and Kontera advertisements on your blog. Try doing Google trends searches so you can write blogs on popular keyword topics of the hour, which will help bring traffic to your blog. If you have time you could write several blogs per day on hot search topics.
9. Write blogs and articles at printnpost.com.
This is another site that will give you are portion of the revenue made from Google AdSense. All you have to do is write an informative article or blog and wait for it to be approved. Once your articles and blogs are approved these can serve as good sources of traffic to other websites, such as the hubs you write here at Hubpages or the content on your personal website.
10. Write articles and fiction at helium.com
Helium.com is another website that pays content publishers a portion of the revenue from ads. I have not made very much at helium as of yet, but some people do very well on this site. I recommend checking out this site if you are into creative writing.
It All Takes Time
There is no guarantee you will make large amounts of money by trying any one of these things, but you are much more likely to make money by selling unwanted items on amazon, designing a t-shirt on zazzle, or writing an article here on Hubpages than you would be to find unwanted money at missingmoney.com. Who knows, you can always go to missingmoney.com and find out if you are one of those lucky individuals, but I think it would be much more productive to focus on ways of making little bit of pocket change here and there.
People use youtube to advertise their zazzle.com products.

Thank you weblog.
Thansk for sharing SweetiePie,

Thanks for the comments.
thanks for sharing your insights and experience in those sites, I have tried blogger and now at Hubpages....I agree it all takes TIME......
I have not made lots of money with it either, but the few dollars I have made have been well worth it.
The best way is to build your own website 10-14 pages with 500-700 words each, optomize it using SEO techniques and use all the techniques above PLUS use a backlinks automation company to send hundreds of thousands of hits to the site, this is the most important part. With adsense on your site and it takes time to build up your backlinks but with these companies its very easy just send in 30 blogs a month per site and over several months the traffic will start to pour in, 1-3 in 100 will click an ad on average.. you can make hundreds to thousands a month this way spending only a few hundred a month to promote backlinks (with very little work on your part thanx to the linkbacks company)..
My websites still have to be special and creative to me. Even if that means I only make a tiny bit each month. I am glad you are making so much though. That is very good.
Well said, thanks.
Lots of great ideas! Thanks
Just overwhelmed by the details of your suggestions. I've just posted something comparable, but not quite detailed as your stuff. Thanks for your good work.
I do not do every single thing on the list, but these are just a few ways to start. Thanks for commenting.
Great details and information. I already went to see if I had any missing money. No such luck. Great job of writing.
Thank you Sirdent! I did not have missing money either. I prefer to do these things and I probably will never be a millionaire, but it is a nice supplementary income. Besides it is my day job that is responsible for building weath the way I see it :).
I like this article because in a nutshell you are saying JUST DO IT stop dreaming and get busy! Very good SweetiePie. C.S.
Thank you C.S.! I appreciate your comments.
I've painted quite a few funky pictures, but never thought about putting them on a t-shirt before. Now I know where to sell my works of art. Thanks for the tips :)
Om Paramapoonya,
Definitely try zazzle, it is fun! I finally have had a couple more sales over the last couple of days, but for the most part I love a website that will make apparel and other items with any art work you want on it. You probably could do very well selling a few items on there. It is fun. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks for the tips, I haven't used printnpost yet, I'll have to give it a try.
I like the tip about advertising on YouTube, I guess one can do anything on it these days. What is the name of your website ? Would love to see what you put in at Zazzle. Nice hub SweetiePie
Thanks for sharing. haven't heard of Zazzle but will check it out.
Thanks for the comments everyone.
Thanks for this Hub, looked in at zazzle and cafepress, found them both interesting and looks as if it does work as additional revenue.
Thanks for this list SweetiePie, I have found something new to get my paws into;)
Som great advice and tips..thank you....ur newest fan
Thanks for all the great comments!
Hi SweetiePie, I just come to let you know I have published some hubs in the past 2 days: http://hubpages.com/author/weblog/latest
Useful and interesting hub
Thanks for the comments Louie Jerome.
Great information I'm just starting, this will help me alot, Thanks
Great hub, SweetiePie! I'm interested in knowing more about all of the ones that I'm not a part of yet. You introduced me to Zazzle a few weeks ago and I really need to get back over there and check that one out! It looked really cool. I've been a member of cafepress for a while, but it definitely doesn't look as cool or as fun as zazzle! Maybe they should re-think the name of the zazzle site... I'm thinking "Pizzazzle!" :)
Again, great hub!

Thanks for commenting mosquito catcher.
I think you could do really well with zazzle products ProCW.

Thanks for commenting everyone. Thanks for the compliment on my photo mon.
Hi SweetiePie,
Very informative. Do you know of any good sites that pay for articles outright?
Karen,
I do not know of any websites that pay for articles out right as I have done research into this. However, Shirley Anderson is a freelance writer and you might want to ask her. I actually think she wrote a hub about that topic. Thanks for the comments.
In my experience for the past one year at hubpages, i have learnt that my past occupation of writing for print media fetches me more money than writing for online blogs, hubs, surveys etc.The best reward we get here is- the wide friendship network.
Very sound advice parasadjain. We can make a little bit of money online, but print media will always pay better for the most part. Some people do make quite a bit of money blogging, but sound advice in my opinion is not to focus your entire livelihood on adsense or similar things. However, some are very successful with only using this route, but this is a small amount of people. Friendship is the best part of hubpages to be sure.
Thank you for you concise information it is helpful
Thanks for commenting Juliet.
oh... forgot to say I never thought about selling things on Amazon, even though I see the 'used books' info every time I go there just about. So thanks for that too.
This is a good hub.
Another way on how to make money is through marketing yourself in youtube. As illustrated <a href="http://www.pichi-pichi.org/entertainment/music/you by this article </a>.
Wow really fun hub , thanks for the encouragement to make money online.
Great hub, very informative. Thanks.
Thanks for the comments everyone.
Gee great hub. Well done, I will have to have a look when on the road if have time thanks for all the info. See you
Sounds like a fun trip and you must be taking your laptop with you. Sounds great! Thanks for commenting.
Another great Hub.
I did not realise that the second hand books advertised on Amazon where from outside of their company. Is that right, if so will you write a Hub on the subject.
Thats if you have not done so already.
Hi Agvulpes,
Amazon makes a great deal of money off third party vendors, and often these are just individuals selling their used books and items on amazon. I used to do this, but I actually prefer Craigslist now the most because I can deal with people locally. Also, amazon takes a commission for everything you sell through their site, whereas if you sell an item to local people on Craigslist you get all the profits. I can still write a hub about this subject though if you find it interesting.
