Why Should You Consider Installing Solar Panels?

Solar panels directly convert light energy to electrical energy because they are comprised of silicon which is specifically treated so that when light hits the panels, it causes electrons to flow.

Solar panels mounted on a south facing roof generate about 200 watts of electricity per panel. When several panels are strung together in an array of five panels, 1,000 watts of electricity is produced. This amounts to 10 to 15 per cent of the typical household consumption.

Using a simple current inverter, this system can be directly wired into your main power panel, and when the electricity is produced from your solar panels, your electrical meter will slow down. In the height of a day (when you receive the most sun), your electrical meter will actually run backwards causing a net difference and a CREDIT to your electrical bill.

Most local governments do not require permits to install solar panels, whereas an electrical permit is required to install an electrical panel in your home.  As more and more people invest in this sustainable form of energy, our overall impact of global warming will decrease and we will improve air quality and lessen our carbon footprint.

I find this article very interesting.

However, to get that much energy or electricity seems to indicate that solar panels have become good converters of sunlight to electricity in the last few years.

Thanks for shareing this article!
