Poetry: cheating wives

Bitter husbands received bitter treatments
Do you like me now?
I like you better now than I liked you then
Because then you were faceless
Always with your hands out, clueless
Wondering why I’m always stress
While you stayed home restless.
No wondered why you always at the window
Looking out for my neighbor Joe
Flirting with him while I’m at work making do,
So that we have food on our table,
Is that your panties on the string?
Revealing to Joe the plumber that you wear thong
When you know I don’t like you stringing your wears
Without me around, in plain air
Are you having an affair?
Is that why you speechless when you stair,
Oh! You have left me in despair.
But that was then for then was bad
But this is now for now we know
I am the bread maker, who should never be anchored
I am the responsible father, who keeps the family together
I should never be bothered by Joe the plumber tempered.
Now that you understand my ways
From now on let us keep it this way
You do the cooking anyway and keep your thongs off the string
After work, I’ll eat plentiful for a bedroom rest I await
Is that my shoe under this chair?
But a size 12 is not what I wear
Hey! Whose shoe is this, are you there?
