Did you watch the tour de france 2009 on television ?
See results without votingMe? Well I have been keen on cycling since I was in short trousers. What I mean is riding a pushbike. I love moving in what seems with little effort compared to walking or running and being able to rest on the seat at the same time and freewheel must faster than walking.. The man who invented the bicycle I take my hat off to you.
Every year that I can remember it being televised at least twenty years that I know for certain I have followed the Tour de France. Even though to some it's just a bunch of very fit bike cyclist's riding through the French countryside. To some they would rather watch the grass grow. To others like myself I cannot get enough of it. I go to the websites both official & unofficial and glean every piece of fact and tit-bit Air I even pick my favourite riders and team. Look I know as well the tour has been spoilt somewhat by drug and blood doping but it is still to me a marvellous spectacle.
Every year the twists & turns in the course as well as the fortunes of each and very rider is enough to make me glue myself to the TV set. The bike probable will always continue to be the most green of transport. Actually you would use a lot less energy walking and would cover much less real estate. Although the boys at the top would disagree they are using 10,000 calories a day.
