How to inform Google of unusual acitivity or invalid clicks in your account and how to identify click frauds

Hello Friends,

Why I am writing this hub today?

Today, I got a hub request from one of our fellow hubber and this request triggered my mind to write something which I think is very useful for us. Thanks to the person who requested this hub.

No, it is not a breach of terms of Google Adsense policy program if someone clicks Google ads on other hubs to have a look on the products displayed or to buy something, but the problem is with those people who hire other people or just directly click on their own ads using different IP addresses or even tell their family and friends to click on their google ads in order to make a good amount of money. Actually, they do not know that Google is very smart and it keeps a check on all those types of clicks and unusual activities. There is a lot of difference between a genuine ad-clicker and a fraud ad-clicker. You can read my hub further below to get the word out of this whole thing. Please read this hub carefully and you have any feedback, please let me know and I will think over them and if found okay would try to follow them religiously.

There are various known and unknown processes which Google utilizes in order to deal with invalid clicks or click fraud. The most important thing according to my thinking is that one should never never intentionally click on ads of other hubs or blogs displaying adsense ads or his own, as Google will be able to check this out really fast with its various methods and will ban your google account or the account from which invalid or fraud clicks are being generated.

If you think that someone is intentionally clicking on your ads or you see any unusual activity in your Google adsense reports, go to this link and write down all the information regarding invalid clicks in your account. Be polite and Google will definitely help.

Now, you might be thinking that how I am so confident about this thing?

I have the answer for your question. I have experienced the same problem twice and used this form to inform Google about the unusual activity I found in my Google Adsense Account. I am sure that Google will help, as I have got help from them two times.

NOTE: CLICKTHROUGH RATE MORE THAN 10% MIGHT LED TO INVALID CLICKS.

I agree with you totally. Never click on other peoples ads if you are not interested. Someone is paying money for this. Just think if you were advertising and someone did this to you, how would you feel. Thanks for putting this forward.

GREAT Hub Soni!! I was actually thinking of the very same question last night!! I am new to this and so I really appreciate your thoughtful research!! What I found myself doing, inadvertently, was clicking on any and all items that have interest to me!! On my own website there are ads posted to entice my readers, and they enticed me, too!! I think we are all used to seeing something that catches our attention and we click on it automatically!! It is a good reminder for all of us to be more conscious!! Thanks again!! Keep up the GREAT Hubs!! Blessings on your day, Earth Angel!!

Hi Stubbs, here is the answer to your question which you can also find in my hub. I think you have not read my hub fully. Please read it carefully before putting in these types of comments dear.

"Yes it is a breech of terms of google adsense policy program if someone clicks Google ads on other hubs or his own intentionally but if someone wants to have a look on some ad or product genuinely, it is not a problem though."

Thanks,

Soni, maybe you should take a hint from these posts that your Hub needs rewriting so it's easier to understand!

And I do think you've got it wrong.  We all know that it's strictly not allowed to click on ads in our own blogs, websites or Hubs - that's clearly stated when we sign up for Adsense. I guess you'd get away with it if you actually bought something, but I'm sure you'd be in trouble otherwise.

The question is whether it's OK to click on ads in other people's hubs.  This would be a non-question if it was about other people's blogs or websites, because that's always OK.  The reason we wonder about other Hubs is that in a way, we're all on the same site - so it's a grey area.  And since you've got the answer to whether we can click on our OWN Hub ads wrong, I can't have confidence in your answer to this one. Sorry.

Its correct that hubbers can click on ads of other hubbers but you should not click on the ads displayed on hubs of hubbers who have signed up under you. The logic is simple. HP inserts publisher code of a hubber on the hubs of hubbers who have signed under him for his share of impressions (5 or 10% impressions). If someone clicks on the hubs of referrals when his publisher code is inserted it will be treated self clicks.

You are really a James Bond......it is true that 10% in 100% of times, when a hubber will click on the ads of his referred hubbers, it will be treated as an invalid click by google adsense as it goes into that hubber's own account. Thanks for the comment. That thing was in my mind after creating this hub but I forgot and you have written it out here.

Clicking on your own adsense ads or referring others to do so is against google adsense terms and conditions.

Thank you so much Soni, great hub. I was looking for an answer to this question. I was approached by another hubber to 'exchange' clicking on ads. I knew it would create a problem and was searching in answers to find a link to forward to said hubber as explantaion/validation for my non-compliance. Didn't find one, thanks for finding me so I was able to find this hub!

Cheers, your newest fan, Carmen

Thanks a lot Carmen for your fan mail and comment. You have done a very good thing by not listening to that person's request for "clicking ads on each other's hubs" because doing that will not lead you anywhere. The money you will earn will be pennies for the first few days and then your account can be terminated by google adsense for fraud clicks. The best way to keep on moving is publishing good quality high keyword optimized articles or hubs for earning more money, it takes much more hard work that just clicking ads but the revenue potential is ultimate and you will also not feel guilty about your doings. Every adsense publisher should concentrate towards writing more info and should ignore "exchanging clicking ads" types of emails and requests forever. Best of luck for your future with Adsense. Keep on doing what you are doing and then learn and put in more effort. Also, we all should remember that "honesty is the best policy". Cheers and have a great day.
