Every year I dread this time when I have to pay for cloths and school supplies for three children. Back to school is the secent biggest shopping period after the Christmas holiday. This year many retailers are trying more promotions and bigger discounts than ever before. With the economy the way it is, many people are waiting to buy there back to school items as they go onsale. Worries about my husbands unemployment and him finding a new job have made me focus on food and other basics at this point. I am also concentrating on prices and discounts like many other familys.

1. My biggest advice to all struggling parents is to get the Sunday paper. They have circulars for the local department stores and sales. Many of the department stores have penny sales. Kmart has notebooks 10 for $1, book covers 2 for $1 along with pencils, sharpeners, and erasers. Staples has pencil sharpeners and pencil boxes for .01 cents, glue for .09 cents. Watch for there flyers and check there website online.

2. Many states are offering a tax free weekend. This gives many familys a break as well as giving the economy some growth. Its an advantage for shoppers and retailers.

3. Shop online. There are many online stores who have coupon codes. Kohls has $5 off when you register for there email sales and notices. Sign up with ebates.com and earn rebates on purchases for over 1000 online stores. I also found a Sears coupon code SEARS5off50 for $5 of your shopping.

4. When going to a store. Shop the clearance racks first for the best deals. This is the first place I head to when I enter a store.

I was very supprised to see Amazon even has products on sale for .01 cent. Check it out. I would recommend buying some of there sales. The 01. cent sales are the cheepest it can get. Black Marble Composition book, wide ruled, and 12 count long colored pencils, and even Mead spiral, 1 subject notebooks, color may very, all for .01 cents. What a great deal.
