Ways to Show Your Partner You Love Him or Her Without Spending Lots of Money

Would you like to show your partner you care this Valentine's Day, or any day for that matter, without getting lost in the sea of corporate involvement? Are you sickened as I am by the overwhelming amount of detached merchandise which is supposed to accurately show your love for your partner... but doesn't?

Here are ways you can show your love without spending money:

***Turn off all electronic distractions, set the cell phone on vibrate, grab your partner and spend an evening cuddling and talking about life, the future and your relationship. Sometimes we can get so busy that we forget the finer points of our relationships and cause this distance to weaken the bonds of love. What better way to re-connect than to disconnect and embrace?

***Pamper your partner by creating a clean living space. Tidy up their house/apartment/trailer for them while they are away. A cluttered home is less romantic than a clean place, and just think of the domestic pleasure your partner will feel when they see their home in order. It is a small task, during which you will get to know your partner more by learning their methods of organization (or lack thereof.)

***If you both drive, try carpooling for a day. Not only will this give you a chance to talk to your honey more, but you'll be saving money on gas, saving the environment in a small way in the process. This also means you'll get to use the H.O.V. lane!

***Poetry is a big turn-on to some, especially if it is written straight from the heart. Try your hand at writing a poem dedicated to your lover. It is okay to be a little silly, though remember we're going for romance here, not something that would be read out on Bob & Tom. Take your time, keep your mind on your beloved. You could write about the day you realized you were in love, what your lover makes you feel, any number of topics relating to love, happiness and your relationship would do.

In the end, how you celebrate your Valentine's Day is up to you. You can be romantic, fun, spontaneous, or just downright sweet, and all without spending a dime. Focus on your relationship and the rest of the details will fall into place.

I wish you love!
