Do you have recurring bad smells in your house? Do noises keep you awake at night? Are you continually losing or misplacing things? Is there a room or spot in your house that is always cold? If the answer to these questions is yes, then psychics would say that you probably have a ghost in the house.

Have you suddenly begun talking in tongues? Has your personality changed almost overnight? Are you suddenly gifted at something you were hopeless at in the past?

Watch out – you could be possessed.

A local group of psychics believe that spirits are earthbound for many reasons. The most common is ignorance – the dead simply don’t know they’re dead, and wouldn’t know what to do if they did.

Many other spirits are kept on the Earth-plane by grieving relatives and loved ones.

But as there are good and bad people, there are good and bad ghosts, and the bad ones are never in a hurry to leave.

Then there is possession.

Possession, they say, usually occurs when a person is at their lowest and has all but given up on life.

The person’s soul leaves the body and another slips right in. This event is always accompanied by a change in the person’s behaviour.

The change is sometimes subtle, but is most often dramatic as the person begins to take on the personality of the entity that now resides within.
