Well, you are hearing it first right here. Others in the Great United States of America have said the same thing but they don’t know, only voicing their opinions.

How do I know what no other American knows?

(First, let me digress. I’ve always wondered if I should use the word “American” when I’m really talking about the Great United States only - not the inhabitants of the entire Americas? Yes, it’s OK. I looked it up.)

Hillary will run
Anyway, I know with certainty because I read Ann Curry’s interview posted by Politico’s Ben Smith this morning:

NBC’s ANN CURRY, interviewing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the “Today” show, on Afghanistan and Iran: “Why are you not more out-front on these very important issues of our time? … What do you say to the people who are concerned that you have been marginalized?”

CLINTON: “Ann, I find it absurd. … I believe in delegating power. You know, I’m not one of these people who feels like I have to have my face in the front of the newspaper or on the TV every moment of the day. … My goal is to be a very positive force to implement the kind of changes that the president and I believe are in the best interests of our country. But that doesn’t mean that it all has to be me-me-me all the time. I like lifting people up. … I am part of the team that makes the decisions.”

CURRY: “Will you ever run for president again? Yes or no.”

CLINTON, laughing merrily: “No.”

CURRY: “No?”

CLINTON: “No. No. I mean, this is a great job. It is a 24-7 job. And I’m looking forward to retirement at some point.

That pretty much says it all. Hillary is running for President of the USA in 2012. A politician’s “no” to that question always means “yes.”

Oh my, I don’t know what to say other than I don’t care. Not yet, anyway. I was please when Barack Obama beat her in the 2008 primaries. Even eight years after hubby Bill left the White House I had my fill of the Clinton’s. Both of them. Still do.

Confession time
As much as I almost violently dislike wheeling on the road to Communism USA with a brief rest stop at Socialism, USA, I need to tell you that I prefer the Messiah over Hillary.

Well, to continue the confession, I guess I do care after all.

Bill and Hill
The fiasco of events before and after Bill’s finger pointing was expensive and a disgrace. Then, Bill had his confessional “didn’t inhale” incident too. So much for Bill. Hill is the topic today.

She has her baggage too. I remember her addressing a group at George Washington University in March 2008 about her trip to Bosnia:

“I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

I remember her shabby memory during Congressional hearings of the 90’s - all the “I don’t recall” and “I don’t remember” responses. If she lied, as I believe, then she cannot be trusted. If she told the truth, and really didn’t remember, then her memory isn’t good enough to serve as our president.

What will Bill Do
Here is what Bill will do if Hill is our president. He will become our president behind the scenes. She will be our acting president. Something I sure don‘t want.

Wait and watch
We’ll see. But, my money is on the bet she will run. After all, she said “no” and that she doesn’t want her face in the newspaper or on television every moment of the day, didn’t she?

What else could she mean? She’ll run. If Hill wins, will her memory of Bill and what's-her-name cause her to fumigate the oval office? You betcha.
