Hillary
The Problem with Hillary
My main problem with Hillary is that she likes to pretend to be poor. It's silly. She makes a speech deriding wealthy CEOs and the income gap in America. Yet everyone in her family makes $200,000 plus per speech. That's a lot of money. She says that she left the White House destitute. But again, $200,000 plus per speech. Whenever one holds that kind of commodity, they are never, I repeat NEVER, destitute. So to that end I say cut the crap.
In 1992 the world welcomed the Clintons. They seemed to be a fresh alternative to George H W Bush, who gave the impression of being out of touch. "It's the economy stupid!" It made sense. People were hurting and needed help. Bill Clinton and Al Gore were young upstarts. Trying new innovative approaches to solve problems. They inspired us. They played "Don't Stop Dreaming About Tomorrow," by Fleetwood Mac and they gave us hope. Hillary...not so much.
She wants to sell us an image. Is she Elizabeth Warren? Is she just a gal that does her best to get by balancing family and career? Is she a bulldog that is ready for that call at 3:00 am (as long as it is not from Bengazi)? Does she like Barack or not? Is she pro big business or labor? What is she about? Who is she?
Now be clear, I want to like her. I bleed blue. I want to be on board, but I just cannot quite get behind her. She seems icky, for lack of a better term.
Championing the less fortunate is a noble cause. It is what draws so many of us to the Kennedys. The Kenedys never felt the need to pretend to be poor. They could not do it. It would look dumb. Right? It looks dumb.
Please, Hillary, I'm begging you. Stop with the silly.
