Some scientist's predict ice age in around 50 years!
Ice age in around 50 years? 2055 to 2060 could experience ice age in which most parts of the earth would be covered under layers of ice. The temperatures would never rise above 0 degrees. We would be forced to live like eskimos. Some scientist's predict this reality. If this is true then it would be horrifying as ice ages are the means from where the life species, especially the big mammals get wiped out from earth.
Looking back into history, recently earth experienced a mini ice age from 1675 to 1715. In this ice age most parts of Europe, Canada and Northern Asia were covered by ice for 30 years. Most migrated towards the south where climate though cold was not under ice. Scientist's predict a similar weather pattern now, however the duration is predicted to be 5 to 10 years and not more.
Most people would associate coming of ice age with global warming but scientist's say global warming is due to thinning of the ozone layer and increase in carbon di oxide in the atmosphere. As a result the earth would get heated more from the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun and which would lead to rise in temperature and melting of ice on earth. Ice age is related to the amount of sun spots that are available to earth. In 1675-1715 ice age very few sun spots were spotted by astronomers, however the instruments like telescopes used in that era are under question. As the sun spots decrease so the temperature of the earth falls. Most astronomer's predict that after a gap of 400 years the sun spots get decreased to the minimum leading to ice ages.
So climate on the earth is controlled by the actions of the sun and movement of earth around the sun. Sun is a huge star. It emits rays which are recieved by all other planets including earth. Inside the core of the Sun because of nuclear fusion, that is combination of 2 hydrogen atoms to form a single helium molecule the heat is generated. This leads to sun spots which are recieved in the form of rays by other planets.
Scientist's predict that in 2055 the sun spot might decrease to the levels leading to ice age. They also predict that considerable parts of the earth might get affected which can lead to extinction of many plants and animals but they say that man would still live on.
