Kerala- The Natural Splendour (India)
69Natural splendour of India Kerala
Heaven on Earth
Must visit India-Kerala
I have not had a chance to visit kerala but I traveled all over the Maharashtra state of India to the costal areas and backwaters
as well as hills, which I found absolutely enchanting.Kerala has everything from simplistic charm to the five star culture. No wonder, mases of uropians visit this part of India.
The best part of kerala is that it is so varied climatically, both the hills and the seaside are within easy reach of each other.
In other parts of India, one has to travel long distances to experience both, but here, its just a two or three days journey.
The roads are extremely developed, in sharp contrast to those in maharashtra. There is much less proverty apperent and the land is rich and really fertile ; coconut palm trees give the state a huge industry as to do wonderful spices that are grown there. You see spices cultivation- cardaman, vanilla, paper, nutmeg-most of which is export quality. So I will just have to wait and see.
The greenery you can see is mind blowing. You can travel in house boats with families also. You can call kerala as jungle of coconut trees. But those sinaries are enchanting. You will just fall in love with green lands, green water, see shores.
Every Indian must visit Kerala one in a life time. I am a thinking person with very sharp views towards nature but, I must call Kerala as anather heaven on earth.

You are right Apeksha. The backwaters of Kerala are on of those "must see" places.

Cherapunji...Munarva...

Hi apeksha.Kerala looks amazing! I've not been to India yet! but its on my list of places to see. It's just so mystical to me in the sense of it's rich cultural heritage and history.I love it. I'm used to seeing images of India which always focus on the colorful bustling cities, so I've never really seen the natural splendor which the pictures you have here show. Thanks for sharing them.
The second pic 'top view of cherapunji falls' is intersting, I find the infrastructure fascinating.
