59Lights Out - Poem
To stop, to finish.
To end would you call it a race?
maybe a walk,
reflections of a final embrace.
Where do you go now
what do you do next
after crossing the finish line
after taking last breath
Last orders is past,
and now the past is last orders
after crossing many paths
they call this the border
Can you carry on?
how much longer till your eyes close
slumping soundly on your bed
who will remove your clothes?
What does anything matter
now is your time to sleep
now is your time to dream
if tommorow is another day
awake, march on, happy, smile.
Goodnight.
