Medical Oddities
67Mutter Musem
When I was in Philly, I did not visit the Mutter Musem. I did surgery for over 20 years I have seen enough medical oddities. In fact the pictures are gross. So use caution. If you are squeamish you might want to not click the Mutter Musem links.
For some reason people have always been fascinated with the un-usual,weird or strange. I have collected some links of medical oddities. Ripleys Believe it or not made money from medical oddities. I think I had aunt that worked for them once, Just kidding ;-) They have one here in Florida that we visited They call it entertainment here in the US. Ripleys in Florida
Just think you dont even have to pay to get grossed out!

I live about four blocks from the mutter Museum, and I can tell you from firsthand experience, it is a fasinating way to spend an afternoon. A little bit nasty sometimes, but remarkable. I thank every single doctor and medical researcher who, together over the years, have been able to advance medical science far enough so that some of these things are now just terrible memories. Poor souls indeed.
I had never heard of this museum before. Thanks for telling the Hubber community about it! I am a big fan of unusual museums. I remember going to a museum of natural history in Paris about 12 years ago and right in the middle of this big room stuffed with all kinds of natural oddities was a pickled mutant human in a jar. It had what looked like fish scales. At least they said it was human. Maybe it was an alien ...
I've studied human anatomy during my dental years. But medical oddities are not included in them :) I wonder what it would be like if I see it for real. Hmmmm...

I read all you included, but just could not click on the images! Yes! You succeeded in creating a very disturbing hub! Well done!
I am sure there are others far braver than I am.
